I know @Vortex gave you a little look.

Here’s a little “Shit and Giggles” comparison of between the R360C and the RC-M against a MRCD trap.

I don’t test like this, and I only did this for this video.

Escort has seemed to have fixed their MRCD problem. From my limited seat time with 1.6, against MRCD....I think the Pro-M might have met its match.

Still there’s a couple of small things Escort needs to improve on with MRCD alerts.

The most glaring thing is the ramp up and urgency. it never really gets higher than 2 bars of signal strength as you get closer to the trap.

It alerts and lights up like a laser hit.... but not full bars like a laser alert..... 2. The R-EX and Max360C go “Batshit Crazy”. The R360C is a pedestrian 2.

Not a big deal. I’m sure they can adjust the urgency. As for ramp up.... meh. It’s inline with Escorts other detectors.

I guess it’s how you look at it. Some might prefer it that way. Get a alert for Lidar or MRCD.... get on the binders now. Where as Uniden and Radenso give you a better idea that your getting closer with their ramp up. A better idea once you’ve passed it incase you didn’t see it.

As you can see, it gets darker up here early. You can see how they place the traps in front of parked cars... or unlit side streets..... when the headlights of oncoming traffic is in your face.... you might not see it.

They’ve also corrected the Ka falsing that I was getting on 1.4

As for MRCD false’s? I need more time with it. Would I be surprised if some vehicle BSM systems set it off? No I wouldn’t.

Both the Pro-M and RC-M have a few cars that set them off. You can tell by the ramp up. If the R360C is as sensitive as it’s been showing me..... I would expect it. I need more time to see if the MRCD false’s to the same certain cars as the Radenso’s.

Nice to see the problem of being blind to MRCD has been fixed. I believe that's a big deal as MRCD will continue to spread. I hope Escort continues improvements on a nice detector.
Thanks for sharing.

Great job on the MRCD testing on the new firmware. Even though I don’t encounter MRCD at this time where I live, I am sure it is only a matter of time before I start seeing it. I am glad Escort has improved this feature.

Thank you so much for testing this @Heywood as I have a few trips to Edmonton coming over next month or two and will have to try this out myself! I hope to also see if it works any better on Redflex in Calgary as it was lacklustre at best on 1.4.

Thanks for your testing and feedback! I'm glad to hear the RL360c is now a viable option. It sounds like it could still use some more refinement, but at least it's now about tweaking to make it better instead of making it work at all like before. If Escort's alert presentation is better on the RL EX and M360c, sounds like they know how to do it and can do something similar for the RL360c.
