Well, my trusty Redline (or power cable) has died. It has been a nice 10+ years of owning this RD. I hope it is the power cable, but I don't have a second one to confirm that.

Verify first my friend, yhe RL has an inline CMD
Fuse component or but very rare these days, the contacts on yhe plug in the unit got severed.

Back in the day i had to repair many of yhe billet power sockets w flex wires and solder.

Just remember on ANY electronic device, if it is TOTALLY DEAD yhat is a good sign ..
as either fuse or power supply and not a IC chip or curcuit board component.

You can trace the power lead on the circuit board yo find yhe inline component fuse. It will usually be the FIRST component from the socket on the 12v side/lead inside the detector on the main mobo.

To verify 12 volts on one side and obviously No Volts on the other side.

Good Luck

I sure hope it's just the cable! I'd hate to see a Redline-O go down! Good luck @protias !!

Is there a special place a Redline-O goes after it alerts no more?

I still own three of them and if any one of them quits, I'll be on the phone with Escort begging them to fix it! I'm not sure if they still service them anymore but I sure hope they would if need be! I still run my R1/Redline-O ghetto arrows quite a bit and they are still monsters! That Redline-O Ka alert tone and ramp is still my favorite!
