Hi there,

I am new to the RD forums from South East QLD. Looking for some advice on what is best to use in SEQ don't mind if it has to be a permanent install.

Also I note there is quite a big range on Amazon US etc has anyone used anything from there in QLD the pricing is quite a lot better by the looks of it.

Thanks Shane

Welcome to the forum. As mentioned, @Mithheru does great detector conversions. He'll probably recommend the R7 or the DFR9.
Spend some time looking through the forum and participate in the threads.

Uniden detectors aren't appropriate in Queensland, you have two options, V1G2 or Stinger..

Of the two options as it stands right now I would go with the V1.

Thanks for your input - am I right that the V1G2 is still detectable ? I need an undetectable option for QLD.

Thanks again for your recommendations, some of these RD's seem to be only available overseas any reccomendations on reputable overseas companies and is there any issue with overseas software vs RD's made for the Australian market ? or it doesn't really matter?

Thanks Shane

If a remote (hidden) system is considered: Escort MAX Ci International which is 100% undetectable.

Search Google: "Escort Max Ci International Australia" and look at the first half a dozen pages.

Welcome Shane!

I’m in SE QLD also 👍

I’ve just installed the ALPriority system for laser protection - covers off Poliscan… mobile van/utes.

I’ll probably follow with the Escort MAX Ci for radar coverage - detects trailer speed camera (Redflex AGD340) and in-car Kustom Raptor.

Cheers
