Muscle memory and the RL360c

I just wanted to make a comment that with the current firmware and the inconsistent display/ramp up of Ka and especially K, I have been taught to step on the brake pedal almost immediately because I don’t know if I’m getting an IO or a false alert (typically BSM’s) from a K band. My Uniden R3 was much better at this. I know we’ve beat this subject matter up plenty so far but this is the most disappointing aspect of this very expensive detector!

I'm new to the forum but have been reading many posts about the RL360 problems. It seems everyone is waiting for update Version 1.5 to correct several issues including yours. My RL360C is still on its way to me so I have no experience to share at this point. I hope for the best as I still can't believe I spent almost $800 for a new radar detector.

It's still a great detector, just needs some fine tuning to get it 100% dialed in. You made a great choice and will enjoy your new toy.

I'm running this everyday in the my R3, Driving is way smother with the RL360c vs my R7s,

If you want to be on the breakes all day just us the R7,

V1G2 had initial problems with Ka ramp up too which caused the same overuse of the brake pedal. VR got it sorted out on Ka now which is great. Hopefully Escort and fix their issues as well as I certainly agree that this is a real problem.

I was one of the early R360c adopters. After a few firmware updates, I have to say that it is a pretty solid detector and I have gotten some very impressive Ka detection. As others have said, it may need a bit more fine tuning, but I am impressed with it.

Agree the RL is soild, has a few problems but I'm not taking it down, Pry going to put up a few R7s on the FB market place.

I took about 5 years for Escort to work out most of the problems with the M360. So you guys might be waiting awhile.

Yeah.
My Cobra DualPro has ramp up dialed in the nicest of all my Escorts. The M360 has had lots of time to get refined.
The new Max 3 drives me bonkers. Good range. Messed up ramp ups, lockouts, Ka falsing ...... Needs refinement. Must be 2 steps behind the Redline in firmware refinement now.
However all my Escorts never give the best ramp ups. They tend to be rather erratic, pausing, jumping into an I/O type alert.
They all vary but display similar traits, so I think it's somewhat an Escort trait by design.

I am way beyond ready for 1.5 to hopefully fix the R360c and make it a little more refined. It is time.
