What discount? Are u talking about the free “gold package” Escort is including with the Max 360 or is there another discount?
I think it is the Gold Package included for the $499 price for the Max360. I received an email with this offer this week from Escort.

Thanks man! I ended up ordering this from Escort’s site and will be taking back the RL360 after contemplating if I should keep it or not. But @westwind77 recent testing where it showed how really sluggish the Redline’s reactivity is compared to the Max 360 - along with the Max 360 now having the mag mount and a price difference (see below) of $350, it made my decision really easy.

RL360 w/ tax = $826
+ 3 yr Defender Subscription ($50) + 2 year extended warranty ($30) = $906

Max 360 with all the above included = $551 (w/ tax).

Couldn’t justify paying $350 more for nothing more than better range but also with poor support. The Max 360 is already “mature” firmware wise and it gives me everything I need in an Escort RD. Also some are saying better BSM filtering as well.

I can confirm that the BSM filtering on the M360 is tops!

The free gold package plus I thought I saw a slighly discounted price.

Just a note, I am getting my wife a RedLine 360c. A lot of this is based on Vortex's comparos, thank you Mr. Vortex, and a desire for a detector that stays current for several years. Me? I'm very happy with my R3 and BlendMount, thank you very much. :D

OP, Don‘t forget to look at the Cobra DP 360. Many folks on here like it. when on sale excellent combo of price, size, mounting, performance. @DC Fluid, a avid R7 fan, has published bunch of RDF content. For what it is, he likes it.

Holding company owns Escort and Cobra. The DP is a variant of the 360 platform.

Now that the original 360 has mag mount, that adds one big plus over its old mounting method.

Wonder if one were to pay for their premium repair service, if a new case case/Mount would be provided...

hmmmm. I have some screen burn in and wear on the case buttons, so I have been considering sending it in for service.
I have had them do exactly that with a different MAX model which had changed its mount that I had sent in for service.
I'd certainly call and ask. They have been actually pretty good at upgrading their units when sent in for full service (assuming Covid has not changed their procedures). Their new Mag mount is definitely the best they have ever made.

Has the “sleeping” issue been resolved or is that still a concern?
It was still a concern on my Max360c. I had sleeping incidents occur on many different firmware versions including recent firmware versions 1.11 and 1.12 in which the sleeping problem was “supposedly” solved.

My last service (3rd time to go back to Escort for the sleeping issue) was in August of 2020. I got it back in September of 2020, and I had another sleeping incident again in October of 2020. I reached out to Escort to a customer service manager that sent me an email on the 3rd service, and Escort ended up swapping out my sleeping Max360c, and I received my new replacement Max360c one week ago.

The sleeping issue for my Max360c was not a frequent occurrence. It was very random. It worked fine 98% or 99% of the time. The production date for my “sleepy” Max360c was the 28th week of 2018 (Shipped to me in March of 2019-directly from Escort). The replacement unit I received last week was new with a production date of 48th week of 2020 (firmware 1.13).

I am traveling this weekend with my new Max360c and V1G2. I used my Max360c for 4 1/2 hours straight on one power cycle, and it did well with no sleeping. It doesn’t have the same level of performance as my V1G2 on Ka, but it (Max360c) is slightly better (IMO) on K-band compared to my V1G2. The arrows on my Max360c are spot on and almost perfect in transitioning.

Seriously thinking about doing this as well.
The Redline is great but needs work.
Thinking of running the 360 andV1gen 2 on 2 different sides of the windshield.
I will turn k band off of the V1Gen 2.

That’ll be a great combo and something to bills you down until Theia is released.

They way I was looking at it is that the Redline 360, at it’s current price, is not worth it when a superior/newer tech detector will hit the market at a very similar price point.

I get it that this is a hobby but sometimes you have to draw the line on detectors that are no better than its completion at nearly half the price and considering that the current RD technology has pretty been maxed out at this point.

Let’s see how much more “juice” Theia can squeeze out of the orange.

Yes I agree! The Redline is still not ready for primetime in it's current form.) (AND PRICE) I can't comprehend how bad this thing must have been when it first came out etc... It could really be a great product if they fix the issues. But for 750.00 it should be blowing me a way and it didn't.
It's like Escort can ALMOST really build a great detector.
(I just returned and got the max 360 as a companion to my V1G2)

Problem is that that Escort tends to take shortcuts more often than not. They did so with the RedlineEX, the Max 360C and now the Redline 360C - yet they continue to charge a premium price.

You made a great decision with the Max 360 and it will make a great 1-2 punch with your V1G2!

So far it seems to be coexisting well running with the V1G2

Now Best Buy has the Cobra Duel Pro on sale for 399.99. I just bought the Max 360 yesterday for 499.00 (minus my discounts)
What should I do?
I just want something for city driving. I love the 399.99 price of the Cobra, just don't know if I can stand to see a Cobra product on my windshield.......
I have my V1G2 if I need to get down the road in a hurry etc...

This is not your typical Cobra. It’s basically a Max 360 repackaged but with better BSM filtering. Check out the reviews by @DC Fluid @Cobra Kai and other suggestions by @DrHow and @Bossdad71 who all have great things to say about this detector!

This is a no brainier man especially given it’s $100 cheaper. I made the swap too! Thanks for the heads up. Just don’t point it to the sky if you decide to get it. 😉 🤣

Escort/Cobra has it discounted for 399.00 as well. Didn't you just get a 360?

Yes but it went back for the Cobra DP360! It’s newer than the Max 360 and has a sturdier, less bulky and better BSM filtering. EZ mag mount as well and better pricing.

I know Escort purchased Cobra but what's the difference in product? Is is simply a name/branding thing or are the internal guts different?
