Max 360 vs 360c

Am thinking of replacing my wife's Escort iX. There's a discount on the 360 right now from Escort.

What's the difference in the 360 and 360c other than WiFi? Will the 360 have a shorter lifespan? Does it false more? Are the arrows more buggy?

The 360 has the same performance as the 360c. The only difference is the wifi and magnetic mount.

The 360 & 360c are the same for hardware under the hood, the 360c having wi-fi as an additional feature. I bought a 360c to replace my 360 but ended up returning it. I like the look of the black M360 vs the gray on the 'c', the mute button is much easier to reach when mounted up high on the original, and the arrows are brighter and easier to see as well, IMO. Firmware and features and filtering are identical between the two. I would not hesitate on the M360, it is a great unit.

Escort tends to continue to sell a good performing model for 5 years, and support it for an additional 5 years, from what I have seen in their recent history. Not always, but generally speaking. I am pretty sure the Max 360 will continue to be supported a while longer, as Escort updated the original 360 to now have a magnet mount just like it's newer counterpart, the 360c.

They're both good choices. If you don't have WiFi in your vehicle, then just go with the standard 360 and use the bluetooth connection to the mobile app. That will relay all the data to Escort Live! for you, as well as give you access to the optional Escort Defender Database - which is their optional pay-for-access database of stationary speed cameras, red light cameras, and known aircraft enforcement speed trap spots.

I agree with this as well. I will say I wish they incorporated the mag mount with the M360 as it is truly easier to take on and off.

Besides the C having wifi, it's mainly a matter of aesthetics. I like the arrow layout of the original 360 the best.

I love the aesthetics of some of these Escorts better than my V1G2. I was looking at my V!G2 last night and there is no mention of Valentine or V1 or anything on the unit. Very plain Jane.
But looks are not everything I guess.

But looks are not everything I guess.
This pic makes my Redline look plain!

Really?! I personally think the V1G2 is the sexiest looking radar detector I’ve ever seen! The design is very sleek and the magnesium case is a plus too. Different strokes for different folks I guess. The Redline also looks great but it’s a hunker and made from plastic.

hmmmm. I have some screen burn in and wear on the case buttons, so I have been considering sending it in for service.

Until @sdrawkcaB showed the revised Max360 case, I wasn’t aware that it has a mag mount now. With my Max360c, I didn’t think I would need or use the WiFi feature, but it is handy to update the detector’s red light camera database in my driveway.

Performance is similar on the Max360 and Max360c. So other than WiFi with the Max360c, for me the choice would come down to personal preference on aesthetics, design, and looks plus the Max360c is “newer” and will likely have firmware and product updates further into the future than the “older” Max360.
