Since you have cams in your area and are absolutely not willing to use your phone, then I recommend the Escort RL360. I think the VR G2 is a better detector, especially on Ka, but the G2 does not have a GPS nor does it have cams, unless you link to your phone.

Consider a VR G2 and an app like JBV1 in stand alone mode. (Not linked to phone) JBV1 provides not just cams, but it even provides warning about suspicious aircraft in your immediate area!

If you're looking for an easy plug & play with the features that you want, go with the Escort RL360. Depending on a users budget and preferences, most of the time members are going to recommend one of the "big 3" (RL360, Uniden R7, or V1). Out of those three choices, the RL360 best fits what you're looking for and it's a very good detector (none of them are perfect). Good luck with your decision.

I've had a couple 9500ix units since 2008 to present.
You will be blown away with the newer detectors range and filtering.
If you like the Escort AutoLockouts, GPS functions, camera databases, and need right right now, consider these detectors.
Max 360 & 360c, previous top models until the newest Redline 360c.
CobraDualPro 360 (which is repackaged Max 360 internals for the most part) which can be found new on deals for $369 USD.
Uniden R7 if you are willing to wait until th eAutoLockouts update comes out.
Pass on the Escort Max 3 until they fix all the bugs.
I personally think the new Redline 360c is a very good detector still working on refinements, but overpriced. If I was to spend that much to get R7 like detection range, I would wait until Theia is released.
You could get a cheaper R3 and use it until Theia and then sell it, keeping depreciation loss low.
R3 blew me away moving up from the 9500ix, especially on the Ka bands.

@Lazylibertine you've received a lot of great recommendations from the members. Like @Z06fan I would recommend the RL360C. I own it and the R7 and find the RL360C to be much better. @DC Fluid makes some great points as well, but I would say that I don't consider the RL360C overpriced. Expensive yes, but not overpriced.

IMHO, @Vortex said it best in his review of the RL360C: "There’s definitely other (and cheaper) that can do many of the things the Redline 360c can, but there is no other detector that offers all these capabilities."

Personally, I don't find it annoying at all. I enjoy the range and sensitivity of the R7. I also like being able to adjust the sensitivity levels for the front and back horns...and they don't have to be the same. And, yes auto lockouts are coming.
The Redline360c is a fine detector that already has auto lockouts, but it is quite a bit more expensive. To many, it's worth it. I can't say, because I don't own one.
But, these two are the ones that I would recommend based on your desires. If you don't want arrows, the R3 would be a superb choice and almost half the cost of the R7. I've owned one and loved it, but I was bitten by the arrows bug and switched over to the R7.

I think @RadarScout did a great job explaining this for you, but for me the biggest difference on a day to day basis is the BSM filtering. Every time I think the RL360C may be a little chatty, I just take a drive in my other vehicle with my R7 and I'm instantly reminded how much more chatty the R7 is over the RL360C. For me, the R7 is just way too noisy (of course YMMV and plenty of R7 owners absolutely love them).

At the end of the day, there are no perfect RDs. We pick and choose what best fits our particular situation. Remember, if you hang around here long enough, you'll start buying the other top tier RDs because it's more than a hobby, it's an obsession.

For me, no.
I'm very familar with Escort detectors even though I don't have the Redline.
Just the huge and very visible in all light display screen, choices of alert tones, MRCD that works, very trust worthy performance, more adjustability options around performance, and cost all make the R7 a better bang for the buck for me.
If I lived in a bigger urban center that I didn't want to manually lock out signals, perhaps the Redline would move in front.
But with the Autolockouts coming to the R7 I will be keeping it and enjoying the feature when it arrives, for no extra cost.
Theia is on my mind and paying out for another top end detector is not my preference right now.
Also in Canada we pay more than exchange rate mark up to get one, pushing it farther out of reach.

I little off-topic, but I went for a ride last week with a client of mine in his new Taycan Turbo S. I can only say that it was a religious experience. This car has acceleration that I can only imagine an F-16 can reproduce. The feeling of acceleration in my chest and tunnel vision is something that I'll never forget. Enjoy this very special vehicle.

So many choices less than half a Redline 360.
All the prices are inflated right now, R7 is 999 instead of the 749 seen since it was first released.

Right now I'm liking the much less expensive Cobra DualPro 360 over the Pro M.
Competes well on BSM, Autolocking, arrows and more sensitive.
If you were downtown NYC or Miami perhaps the Pro M would be more favored.
