Okay, made the decision today.... Here is what i decided to get as advised:

AL Priority System Configurator: CPU with HiFi Wired Controller & External Speaker - $379.95
How Many Front Laser Sensors: 2 Regular + 1 TX Sensor - $849.95
Do you want to add Rear Laser Sensors: 2 Regular + 1 TX Sensor - $849.95
Bluetooth: Yes - $99.95
Add GPS Antenna (Required for new ALP Systems): Yes - $59.95
TOTAL: Subtotal : $2,239.75

My main reason for this post is to ask about installation. After returning the Escort ZR5's I will have $850 credit at Car Toys (they were a Christmas gift so not out of my pocket). I presume the install will be about $1350 so I will pay $500 on top of my return credit making it cost effective. Is it appropriate to ask for opinions about which shop to choose for install? My question is whether Car Toys can be trusted to install such a system with confidence. I realize you never know much about which installer will do it. I guess I will ask around for an installer who has done an AL Priority at the five Car Toys in the area. My preference is to hire Musicar Northwest who @Vortex used to install the ALP system on one of his cars. He even made a YouTube vid about that shop. I dont think they need to remove rear bumper since no radar antenna is added for this install. Thx for any advice.

I believe @Jon at Radenso has already partially answered your question here. If you're close to MusicarNW they seem to be a great choice from what installs I've seen posted.

When watching a video on @Vortex about head placement he said the ALP can accomodate three heads up front and two in the back, so i guess i cant buy two reg and one tx for the rear. Is this wrong, someone on the forum said get two reg plus one tx for front and rear for optimal coverage. thx

@mercedesbenzo2020 You can do 3 up front and 3 in the rear.

Front can be:
RX RX RX or RX TX RX

You CAN run 4 in the front with a splitter but it has to be with two TX heads
RX TX TX RX

Rear can be:

RX RX
RX TX (splitter) RX

Thanks @V1Jake, would you do the RX TX on rear or do the three with RX TX (splitter) RX? Is the spitter included when you at two RX and 1TX ? I see that's an option for the rear when building the order.

The splitter is included when you purchase the TX head. I have RX TX RX. I'd rather add a TX head for better protection than ticket/lawyer fees.

@mercedesbenzo2020 You can do 3 up front and 3 in the rear.

Front can be:
RX RX RX or RX TX RX

You CAN run 4 in the front with a splitter but it has to be with two TX heads
RX TX TX RX

Rear can be:

RX RX
RX TX (splitter) RX
Correction/clarification. Splitter is for the two RX heads in the rear. TX gets its own port. You can also run RX TX TX RX in the rear like the front. RX heads one port, TX heads on the other port

Just putting it out there, you don't feel like doing it yourself?

Car is at installers today. I saw the post on placement in inches. I beleive it says no more than 24" apart on the regular sensors and at least 8" from tx in the middle. My front sensors are about 30-34 ish apart from left to right with the tx about ten inches from both left and right regular sensors. please inform. Oh, also i had them put the GPS sensor on the dash up by windshield on driver side. lastly, does the control unit stay inside the car? it doesn't look weatherproof for under the hood.

How are you? quick question. When unpacking at the shop installing one of the tx heads came in a pain brown box as the other was retail packaging like the RX heads. I didn't see where the splitter is... I will call ALP tomorrow but just curious if you know where the spitter would be. Kinda random question but concerned it was not included. thx.

Idk tbh. I haven't installed a rear TX so I don't have a splitter yet.
@BestRadarDetectors

About the control unit, it stays in the car. You run the wires out of the cabin into the trunk/engine bay. It's not weather proof. I think the only one that has something like that is TPX with the motorcycle jammer.

Also, how is the TX 10in each side from the RX but the RX is more than 20in apart? It's not possible.

My error. The front two RX are 32" apart and the TX is just to the left of the emblem on the passenger side since the emblem keeps it from being centered. So it would be about 14" from the far left passenger side RX and 18" from the far right drivers side RX in the front grill. I called ALP to clarify if that is acceptable and it is okay to be 32" apart and placed in he highest slots on the grill is where they are. They are about 4" below the hood and equal level of the headlights. The height off the ground in the front is about 28" off the ground and in the rear about 23" off the ground. In the rear the RX are about 25" apart with the TX exactly in the middle. I'll post pics when it is done. Thanks for the reply.

Make sure you (or somebody) takes a photo of the BT module, with the serial# and 4 digit PIN. (I think its also on the box) You will need this information in the future when future FW updates come out. Its a real bummer to have to pull the car apart, find the module, read the #s, then put everything back together just to update FW. The app asks for the PIN from time to time and before FW updates - like the February update.
