Uniden needs to get this working, I can't be the only pesron that took out an R7 & Replaced it with the RL360C.

At this point anyone who travels in their local area has already locked out signals manually. A few towns in my area have mobile speed signs that they leave in place for weeks. I don't want them auto-locked. Have locked out pretty much everything first time through just from experience from prior detectors. I can take it or leave it at this point. Probably leave it off if they ever do offer it. Nice feature but at least for me not important. Manual lockout is little effort on the R7 either turning it on or canceling it.

I set quiet ride at 20mph and that takes care of the shopping center parking lots. The bulk if not all of my auto lockouts are fixed speed signs. Don't get much K falses from any other sources in normal driving in my parts.

This is very true, we must keep a close watch on what happens with Theia along with Escort, Uniden.
The market prices for a used RDs, will drop dramatically if Theia does what is advertised, I know a guy that has a few R7s that will be on market place quick.

R7 prices are down since Black Friday and haven't recovered, $450.00 and less all over, Amazon, Ebay, FB Market Place.

Kinda strange to get teased with a "coming soon" only to have the thread locked? Who knows what happened!

It didn't arrive under the X-Mas tree in 2020... maybe '21?!

I don't believe it was ever revealed exactly, but obviously, some kind of deal was reached.

Right because Escort still owns the patent for the feature.

There was a deal and Uniden will be coming with Autolocking functionality.
I remember Vortex mentioning that it didn't come in firmware 133 because it needed refinement according to feedback from Beta testers.
So actual operation wasn't ready for prime time when 133 came out.

no difference in manual vs auto except the cpu pushes button instead of the user which will be faster and more accurate location wise.

maybe this will debut on the new remote system and then the r7?

Hopefully R7 lockouts will come in January. Along with Theia and RL360c firmware updates.
