Preparing for the RedLine 360c 1.5 update

Just curious. When we update to version 1.5 will we have to reset everything back or will it do it automatically. Thanks my fellow Rd forum brothers. John waving from Northern California.

Usually factory resets aren't required unless a new setting option is added in the menu. Aside from that, I like to do a factory reset anyways as it tends to eliminate the possibility of strange behavior after doing a firmware update. This is something that I've seen and learned over time with many different detectors, including my Passport Max, Max 360, and Max 360c. I would recommend a factory reset every time, in my personal opinion.

1. Go through your detector settings and write down with pen and paper what value you have each configuration option set to.
2. You can use your cell phone and record a video of you going through your detector settings.
3. If you use the Escort Live! app, while connected to your detector, you can take screenshots of your settings in the app settings menu.

As you can imagine with COVID-19 impacting everything these days, nothing comes quickly or easily. Escort has definitely been working on an update for the RL360C as they originally promised. We need to remain patient and allow them to complete their work so that they can release a stable and worthwhile update when it’s finally ready. Without question, every single RL360C owner is looking forward to this release.

Radenso Pro had like 2 or 3 updates since the Pandemic started...The Uniden R3 had a slight improvement/feature update in October ...just throwing that out there.

On the flip side I'd rather wait on a perfect 1.5 release than get a rushed half-assed 1.5.

My upgrade from the Max 360 to the RL360c is dependant on a great 1.5 firmware update. I live in I/O country and need something that will respond quickly. I've about given up on getting Theia.
