Hello,

I would like to know which Radar/Lasor detector is better, I know some of them not always going to be accurate and will false alerts.
Uniden R7 Vs K40 Electronics Platinum 100, Vs Cobra 360, apart from these radars , which other or please confirm to me which one you think is the best one for the money? Also , I know some of them are undetectable, explain if this actually true? or not! Appreciated your help.
Thanks for your help!

Welcome! I would go with the R7 of those three. You could check out the Valentine V1G2 too.

Of the detectors you mentioned please avoid K40 at all costs.
Go to Vortex Radar on the internet and read up on detectors, best values, best in price ranges etc.
Currently the best and most expensive are Redline 360c, V1G2 and Uniden R7.
But so many more and depending on what you want and need.
If you want to just plug it in and drive and have Automatic lockout of stationary false signals, Escort has some deals on right now.
I suggest these mid range great deals that are all excellent detectors:
Uniden R3, Cobra DualPro 360, Escort Max 3, and Uniden R7 if you want to spend more into mid 400 range.

I was reading right now about these Radars. In conclusion, between UnidenR7 and V1G2 which one will you personally use? to my understanding of what I was reading, they are identically, but Uniden R7 is just little bit superior. In the future maybe I'll get the Redline 360c. I appreciate the help from the you and the people answering, helps a lot. Thank you very much.

I may be accused of being biased, but this is my personal preference.
R7 because it is a stand alone detector that doesn't need an app connected on your phone while driving, to get some important features to work. Some people love the apps on phone, I don't. The phone gets used for too many other things for me.

While performance is near identical, R7 can be found for less money.
It has a big screen, the biggest available right now with lots of information.
Very customizable, consider it an advanced detector requiring some knowledge of detector operations.
GPS data base for cameras.
MRCD & CT detection for speed cameras that are showing up many places.
Automatic lockouts coming soon in an update. This will make it much easier to live with for majority of users.
It's proven reliable and great value.
Hard to go wrong with it on sale prices.

I don't discount the other recommendations if you want to save money. They all offer excellent protection.
I personally have most of them or they have been ordered and arriving soon.

I own/run/test BOTH R7 and V1G2.

I agree w DCFluid ... outta yhe box and Minimal learning curve the R7. [email protected] Detector.
Read my Ode to R7 thread (Benzr)

V1G2 gets better OFF/AXIS shots and combo w JBV1 phone app is stellar performer. 🤓 too !!

Either one is a great choice and will serve you well. 😇😇

Hang around here too long and you are certain to own them all. The top of the heap boils down to the R7, V1Gen2, and Escort Redline 360c. Depending on the day of the week, your needs, and prevailing views, you will probably change your mind daily on which one to buy. In the end, they are all solid and will serve you well. Read, share and learn before you pull the trigger, Lots of smart people and good info here.

I'd personally vouch for the v1g2, as it has served me well, and the customer service is top notch.
