And a picture of a random board proves Theia exists? Please don't represent me in court.
I totally want Theia in my vehicles but it's taking an awfully long time to get on the road. Companies have gotten entire new prototype fighter jets in the sky in less time than Theia has been proposed so I can understand people losing faith, getting bored and fobbing off new info as just more click bait. I sold my Stinger equipped vehicle and have not upgraded my RD situation in anticipation of Theia but I can't wait forever... Radenso needs to release more concrete evidence of claims, set a fixed release date and just get on with it. I'm quite happy to put down a deposit today if I know when I'm getting it otherwise my limited disposable income will be absorbed elsewhere and Theia will become a 'maybe some other time' wishlist item.
DEF troll action here lol---go buy a escort product and be done with it!! THEIA is real, believe that----trust me they will sell out day 1---of preorders!

"Evolved Antennas" are super gnarly too. It just grows in whatever direction makes it more efficient until its a thing.

Possible hint at Theia2? Evolved radar horns :D

@FlamingHedgehog

The only company ever to do that was Heinkel with the He 162 which was a desperate, last-ditch attempt by the Third Reich to deal with swarms of Allied bombers that were wrecking German cities, rail yards and war production factories. Heinkel used an existing jet engine and actually planned to make the aircraft with a wooden frame as Germany was unable to produce enough structural aluminum.

As for you not being able to wait for Theia, well, a lot of folks have been waiting and can't put off the purchase any longer. I don't know what your budget is but here is something worth considering:

Ah, yes, Isn't that the one where you moved the rabbit ears around until you got the TV picture, but then couldn't move because you had "evolved" to be part of the working antenna? ;) Back before there was cable....OTA analog TV.....

Yes, these are really fun. Kind of an off chute of the fractal to me.

Has @Token given his explanation yet?
How about @Vortex @SquirrelMaster or other powers to be who are sharp too with this stuff!?

I've seen them in here, not like they have insider info so it's not an unfair advantage!

They can always donate the goods to a big fan if they won!

The more the merrier!!! Let's learn about Theia!

Token’s posts are highly admired by many of us as his RF expertise truly stands out. I can understand @Britain ’s anticipation in looking forward to any commentary that @Token can offer.

I'm excited for @Token too!

If he so chooses to share his thoughts which he normally does! If he doesn't, maybe next time!

some educated members may not want to guess, just so they won't have to publicly show their ignorance in some areas

Rob even said, in one of the DSP videos, this has been one of the hardest projects he's worked on. So I guess I can understand the hesitation.

No, really seriously not. This is not an area I have any strength in.

With that, my annotated image guess and comments:

Sorry, I have been really busy this week, so I have not had a chance to participate. Microstrip is not really my thing, I am a bit behind the curve in this stuff. Give me a grid pulsed coupled cavity TWT or a waveguide magic T and I am at home, but this new fangled stuff is not in my wheel house.

With that said, my take on the first image that was shared.

@Jon at Radenso , nice peek at the inner workings of Theia (and don't let Randy be a kill joy ;) ). I have not bothered to look up any of the part numbers, so I don't have things like the frequency range of the synthesizer or noise figures of the amplifiers.

I am particularly impressed with the filtering going on. Every line seems to have filtering in the form of stubs, open, shorted, and parallel. Are the folded stubs on the LO line low pass filters?

I assume the bandstop filters in the X band path are for the LO frequencies.

I also really like the way the digitizer interfaces to the RF section. This keeps the non-RF stuff in the RF section to a minimum. Bringing power/controls individually up to the LNA's and synth from below rather than getting it into the RF section and then distributing is a nice touch.

Also, am I correct in the application of antiparallel mixers? If so, how does that impact your overall noise figure?

Anyway, nice tease, and an outstanding way to get people involved and talking. Thanks.

I am sure @Randy at Radenso will yell at me tomorrow for showing this, but I'm bored and this might be fun:

Whoever gives the best and most detailed explanation of what's going on here gets a free Radenso hat and t-shirt (if we have a shirt left in your size, don't hold me to that since I'm not sure what our inventory level is....). If there are multiple people who give an equally good explanation, they will be entered into a randomizer to select the winner. Try to be as detailed as possible - don't just google part numbers!

I can explain what is going on here. You are telling us that we have a awesome product coming to market soon. : ) Money prepared. Thank you!!!
