Now that I've tossed the Max 3 into it's box until it gets an update or I sell it, I'm using the DP360 as much as possible.
So far pretty much the same opinions as my posts and threads about it.
DP360 doesn't appear to need K Notch in my area experience. Hardly a beep occurs 24.190 to 24.210. Perhaps they have done some firmware magic and have a hidden K Notch like filtering going on with this detector.
I do get a rare few BSMs from Chrysler products 24.172ish and 24.05xish. Perhaps a Mercedes GL550 too.
All in all the DualPro has been pleasurable to own and use, I think the M360 platform it's based on has been refined to what we would expect of it.
A few real world encounters it worked well.
If you want a detector that is easy and automated for beginners, elderly or those who can't stand constant detector twiddling, this one fits the bill
I'm thinking of giving to the wife to replace the Pro M because she doesn't lock out anything, if not done by me it's never done.
Autolocking door openers would be perfect for her.
The size and weight difference not in favor of her taking in her purse when parking downtown.
Pro M definitely wins the pocket/purse fitting competition.

@L4D44 Congratulations on the purchase.
What price did you pay?
The Christmas sales Escort was selling DP360 for $369 (80 off), when Max 3 was $359(40 off).
Right now Cobra/Escort eBay Canada I can only get $459 USD full price. 750 CDN in stores here.
Sucks that detectors are in high demand and prices are up for everything.

Thanks man! Unfortunately I paid full pop ($450 USD). I wish I would have known about the Xmas sale. Oh well. Still super stoked about getting it (free 2-day shipping). I know you’re up north but here in the states you can blame the stimulus checks for the high demand/prices of RDs. Same goes for game consoles and other high-end electronics. Lol.

The DP360 will become my DD. As mentioned in your Max 3 review thread, I also couldn’t stand the Max 3 any longer and TBH I have little faith that Cedar even gives a rip not will fix its issues. The thing Ka falsed every time I powered it up in my garage and throughout my daily use. Also being “analog” was a huge let down in 2020/21. Unacceptable considering the $400 price point.

Any settings recommendations for the DP360?

Autolocking on
AutoMute On, AM volume high
Cruise alert (or whatever Cobra called it) 25 mph
Highway mode for most driving, Auto for congestion areas.
Auto dimming On
Can't remember all but that's the core settings.

Perfect! Thank you. Also appreciate all your videos and reviews!

I used to have the R3 and R7 but got rid of them rather quickly. They are both very impressive in range but there’s more to a great RD than just range. I need arrows and I need something as quiet as possible in city driving.

The Redline 360 is overpriced and the V1G2, my current favorite RD, is fantastic but I despise running apps and the lack of GPS and RLC + Speed Cam alerts is making me consider putting it on the back-burner for now.

I need something to hold me down until Theia is released and put through the riggers of testing before I commit to a RD as being “the one” that’s right for my liking and driving situation. I think the DP360 will hold me down very nicely judging by your videos and user experience. Besides, it looks sexy as heck.

Well you certainly have had quite a run through the detector market!
The DualPro can't compete on the open road on all out range with the big 3, but still does well.
It is quite pleasurable in the city and Autolocking works the best on this of all my Escorts.
Arrows are a great feature and I miss them as soon as I get the first beep on the R3 or Max 2 & 3.
Auto mode is a winner on the DualPro for a very small range penalty at 40 mph, and the benefits it gives going slower in traffic and parking lots. Best Auto mode execution of all my Escorts. This will make it a killer city detector.

Both my R7 and R3 are quiet for me as I have locked out my local K stationary sources, and I have optimized settings. I hope the DualPro does good for you.
The only annoyance I found was waiting for Autolocking to get everything when I was used to manually doing it one and done as I know them well. But you can manually lock the sources you know well and leave it to do the rest.

My settings as run today, I use Highway mode mostly as it's very quiet, but plan on more Auto Mode especially when in newer areas.

The app is okay, the best part is using it to change settings. Much easier than on the detector. Hate it when you can't reverse menu direction like R Series can.
Running the app you also see more locked out radar sources shown in grey and option to unlock.
When running just the detector you get less display notices of lockouts showing up grey. Nice if you want no disturbances visual or audio of a lockout location.
I personally prefer seeing the grey lockout frequency at a location I locked out, with no alert sound.

i just sent mine to a couple guys for some testing with low poered guns. should be interesting
Please share results and compare to the DualPro results I've been gathering.
One thing I'm noticing is the full digital Escorts like Max II and DualPro 360 really take a hit when trees and foilage are around in my off axis tests.
Buildings and vehicle in area of off axis test instead of foilage and they do better.
Something about the way they pick up the signal or process it they reject it more when trees line my course.
Pro M does this too, while R Series continue to destroy all, and Max 3 falls in the middle.
I got some stellar receptions on the DualPro on 34.7 RCMP, here is the post. Many tall buildings and terrain in the way. I'd bet the R7 may have given only a couple more seconds warning as I rounded the hill overlooking the city bowl area.

@Cobra Kai @DC Fluid

Any updates in regards to the DP360 and K-Notch feature?

Thanks.

Update: after reading the reviews in this thread and checking out @Cobra Kai awesome Amazon review, I just pulled the trigger on the DP360!

I had previously ordered the Max 360 but I just canceled it. The DP360 not only looks better (more premium, less bulky) but it looks like it has better BSM filtering and superior range and reactivity to the original Max 360. Also helps that it’s $50 cheaper!

Can’t wait to get the Beltronics tones again!

Thanks to @DC Fluid @Bossdad71 @Cobra Kai for your testing and knowledge in helping me select this underrated RD. This is definitely not your typical Cobra RD that I used to purchase from QVC back in the day. 🤣
Assuming it is based on the GT 360 I use, you will be satisfied.

Love that bronze/orange trim on the GT360! The DP360 is arriving on Tuesday and will take her for a spin and report back my findings/opinion.
The GT360 trim gave off lots of glare.
The DualPro seems better in that aspect.

I'm a little late to respond, but thanks for your reply and for getting the DP360 you will love it. Honestly I don't think the DP360 needs K Notch which might be why it's not included. My father owns a Max 360 and trust me without K Notch it can be a very noisy detector, on the DP360 the only K bands I get are those stationary speed readers (which can be locked out). DC Fluid's testing sort of confirms my findings as well.

This detector is on sale for $349 at Best Buy and others. Picked one up and looking forward to some travel.
Welcome to the club!
Please get some time with the DualPro and come back and post your observations.
We love to hear your feedback.
Also ask questions if you have any about the detector.
Enjoy your purchase and travels

With all due respect did you read my post? We literally said the same thing...I and everyone with a functioning brain knows that the Cobra detectors prior to Cedar Electronics acquiring Cobra were junk. I even said in my post the newer but cheaper ones, were and are junk. You're tracking the dashcam/RD combo is the Road Scout and not the "Duel Pro" right? Using your own words, the DualPro 360 is a good detector because it was built on Escort technology. Glad we agree  . And also...

I know they both look so similar even the brightest among us mix them up.

Thats an impressive collection you got there. I actually found some footage from my dashcam that corresponds with what I posted with regard to Ka encounters and I will try to splice some videos together.
When I said the Duel Pro I meant the Road Scout. The Duel Pro is an Escort detector and is a very good one for the price. I don't mean to say that Cobra products are all bad, I've been using two Cobra dash cams in my cars for the last 3 years and they are very good. Also during my working days I've used Cobra CB radios for years, they are some of the best you can buy. Just that Cobra radar detectors are aimed at a lower price point and that means lower performance and that to me is not except able.

All good, yeah the Road Scout is garbage.
