So I was driving and BAM! Hit with laser. TMG system mentioned SL 700. I haven’t read much about it .... anyone else hit with this? I’m in Atlanta by the way.

The SL700 is a gun used outside the USA, so it was most likely a false alert.

Did you manually kill your jammers and get the gun ID from a phone app or did you let autokill kick in?

Pretty much exclusive to being used in UK, so definately a false ;

Yea, it's a false, likely from another car (some cars have lidar assist). TMG used to false to Infiniti FX35 and GX35 SUVs but it used to say Traffipatrol XR. Eventually, that algo was erased so it was way less annoying. But it's not unheard of for TMG to false more than ALP, Escort, and other jammers.

Just like a radar detector can false, you can make a jammer false!

Infiniti aren't popular here (Australia) but in the last year or so of owning it, I've not had a single false with mine.

Mine false to dragoneye in the sun
If it happens quiet often your heads may be going south. G1s? I believe that was a common issue when they started going bad including mine in the rear. Went to G2 all around and haven't seen the issue since!

Yep...I got one last Friday. "Rear laser, RSL 700" I need to switch out my last two Gen 1 heads in the back. I have them, but just too cold to do it. Need a sunny weekend. Guess I'm not the only one.

I Also had some weird DE hits in dense fog last October in Orlando, FL. Those were Gen 1 at the time. Those have been upgraded to Gen 2.

Rear heads are the most susceptible since there's alot of cars that have lidar collision avoidance or headlights/HIDs that spill into NIR. Problem is this false is pretty intermittent so it's hard to pin down what's causing it
