Hey all, I found a lot of interesting information on this forum so I decided to join. I’m from Florida but now moved to California, and after living with a sprinter van for a few years, I am back into a sports car.

after ditching my escort 5years ago, I’ve been loyal to my Valentine 1, but I am looking to further my protection and upgrade to AL priority and possibly net DSP.

Can anyone offer me the most popular detection devices are and San Francisco south bay area? Would like to consider filters for my V1 and wether DSP
Is worth it or just stick with ALP

I currently run the RedLine 360c and I'm very pleased with my purchase. No false alerts whatsoever. Bitt pricy and love the arrows. Safed me a few times. Im also around the same area and commute 80 mile round trip.

Hello and welcome aboard! The top three windshield mounted RDs currently are (in no particular order) the V1G2, the Uniden R7 and the Escort Redline 360C (RL360C). All are outstanding RDs and would probably serve you well. I'm sure there are RDF members in and around your area who can say what they are currently using. ALP is always a good choice.

yea I have gen1V1 but if I’m going to add the ALP to it, it’s apealing to possibly upgrade to the DSP to have it integrate with the ALP alert system

I'm in the South Bay. I run the V1Gen2 (had the V1 Gen1 for the past 30 years) and combine it with V1Driver and Waze. Although lidar is used by CHP in some areas, so far few and far between so I don't see the need for jammers.
