New phone, Escort Live app won't open

I got a new Android phone, installed the Escort Live app but it won't open past the splash screen. I've deleted the app and rebooted but had the same result. any suggestions?
Has the issue been resolved?

Nope, I'm still stuck not getting past the splash screen.
I'm not sure if you've contacted Escort's customer service, but if you haven't, I recommend doing so.

I believe @GailFromCedar who is the CEO of Cedar Electronics which is the parent company of Escort and Cobra has recently joined us in the forum. You may want to contact her or anyone from Escort for that matter.

I'm not sure if you've contacted Escort's customer service, but if you haven't, I recommend doing so.

I believe @GailFromCedar who is the CEO of Cedar Electronics which is the parent company of Escort and Cobra has recently joined us in the forum. You may want to contact her or anyone from Escort for that matter.

IMHO, if you haven't contacted Customer Service then I wouldn't recommend "jumping all the way to the top" to contact Gail. She's the CEO of Cedar Electronics and she has been very helpful to RDF members with problems that couldn't be solved anywhere else. We should always practice restraint and exercise our due diligence by reaching out to the customer service department first whenever we have a problem just like any other customer would. Let's save our "silver bullet" for problems that can't be solved after multiple attempts and without the highest level of intervention.

Remember, they open at 0900 and you'll want to call as soon as they open.

You're 100% correct. I should have specified a bit more and CERTAINLY not mentioned contacting her of all people. Especially if someone hasn't taken the time out to contact support in the first place.

That's 100% my fault. I appreciate you calling it out.

Right on the money.

As for the the app, well, Escort says they fixed the problem but here's what Live did to my prior Redine Ex. First it disabled all K segments by itself, then it disabled all bands and segments by itself. We all want a quiet detector but that's a bit too far. I deleted Live from the iPhone and later sold the EX. Done with Escort.
