Yea I updated and only my front arrows are working. What gives man. 1.4 worked and now this.

Sorry to hear that. How did you verify the cord is working? Do you have another cord you can try?

@Brainstorm69 - He commented in a separate thread that he also tried his RL360C with his hardwired connection and also borrowed a friends power cord. Regretfully, none of these worked to power on his RD.

Mine was doing that and repaired BT. Give if a try.
One thing that was not addressed with 1.6 that I remain hopeful for is for the "Auto" brightness setting to be a little more useful based upon the real ambient light reading. As it is, when it auto, and during daytime, the display is so dim, it is on par with minimum rather than medium or maximum (which is called for during the day). Are we still tracking stuff here in this thread?

We never had an Advanced member step up and take ownership, but it's as good a place as any to keep these issues and feature requests in a central location.
If we eventually do get an Advanced member who wants to manage this thread they'll be able to coordinate all of this information.

agree. esp the higher up you mount on the windshield, which makes sense since even more light would be blocked.

Auto brightness has never worked on the Redline from Day 1. Set it to MEDIUM and you’re good to go day or night.
I need maximum at daytime and medium at night. It just needs to do what I want. : )

Yet another reason to mount it lower, as Escort recommends for “optimum performance”:
”You will get optimum performance from your detector if you mount it at a point approximately in the center of the vehicle, as low as possible on the front windshield without obstructing the detector’s view of the road either to the front or rear.”

That happened to my unit back in June just over a month after ownership. Sent it back to Escort for warranty repair and never got it back. After 2 months I requested a full refund and they obliged. I had posted about it at the time. Good luck with their customer service.

"Having to send the unit back to Escort" seems to be a common thing these days. The quality control seems to be lacking.

IMHO, the overwhelming majority of Escort owners never have a problem with their RDs, never need to send them in for service and never say anything one way or the other. However, there exists a vocal minority who (like with any product) complain loudly. They make so much noise that others tend to incorrectly believe that there must be a problem because that's what they read and hear.

The RL360C has a GPS and therefore knows the exact time and position of the unit. Those two data points should be adequate to enable the unit to know when the sun sets and when it rises, affording a more accurate use of the display brightness. I agree it should always go to MAX during the day - which it currently does not.

Obviously we do not have knowledge of every Escort RD owner who has purchased one so we go by those on here who have purchased one and their experience. I personally have had to send one of mine back to Escort 3 times.
If you go onto the ERF their 'go to line' is basically "Sounds like there is a problem with your RD, please contact us at XXX to send it in for repair". Their forum is packed with responses from them like that.
When they released 'bugged' firmware they were telling everyone to send in their RD as it should not be acting the way the owners claimed....only later on the line did they release firmware to fix the issue as they finally took ownership of the issue and did not blame the unit anymore.
Escort is not alone though, I had a faulty R3 that had to be replaced as well, but that was an easy 'one and done' exchange with Uniden.
Forums also tend to be the places people come to complain or to source solution for their issues so you will typically here more negative on a forum than positive, however RDF seems to balance that out well.
One of the other reasons people tend to be a bit more vocal about Escort is that a lot of people, myself include, have been treated very poorly in the past and it seem to keep a chip on our shoulder. They have done a good job in trying to repair that lately so hopefully that will continue.
As for my RL360c, I am really enjoying this new v1.6 update. Without a doubt this update brought up the sensitivity/reaction time as stationary falses alert earlier than under v1.4 and more importantly the ramp up under v1.6 is very smooth, which was an issue with v1.4. The RL has now become my DD.
