Thanks guys! I appreciate that!

I'm in the bay area. Near San Francisco.

Can't wait for Theia! Wish it would just release! :)

Here in the Bay Area, you'll only need to be concerned with Ka at 34.7 and laser on the highways (CHP). Local depends.

I'll also add that I've had K turned off for years, but that's because my commute is predictable (well, when I commuted pre-COVID) from SF to Oakland and back.

In San Francisco itself, SFPD relies on handheld laser.

Ahh, yes, I forget that is an issue for you. However, many folks run them in CA. If you use proper Jam to Kill etiquette, you should not have any problems. Speeding is illegal too right?
So true! I can’t forget that! Lol

Here's the thing about those sensors: If you think about it from a detection standpoint, they're superior to laser detection in radar detctors. In fact, I just turn laser off in my windshield detectors.

I've run the ALP for years, with the HiFi option. One of my favorite features is it alerting me to laser with the direction (if you have rear sensors) and the type of gun. Even if I'm NOT speeding!

That is seriously cool! I had no idea it has that! Thank you for sharing!

The ALP can run in detection only mode (just alerts you to hits) if you wish. Here in CA, CHP seems to be loving laser. I would't drive without ALP, even if it's detection only.

Here's Vortex's video demo of the Hifi.

Nooooooo! I guess I'll never go out again!

Edit: Looks like Southern California. That's good. Good thing for me, 99% of the driving I'm doing now is all within SF itself, which is laser-land.
