The older Talons never had the Red IR up front. Talons from 1999-2004 requires the cradle with wired remote attached to it. Now the newer Talons have cordless remote capabilities. Here in this picture

@radarrob

So what do you think?
I was sure it was the Falcon due to the menue difference between the Falcon and the Talon that I have... but when I do not really see the flare at the end .... has me thinking it possibly could be a Talon.... if they changed the menue layout to match the Falcon HR.

I haven’t been able to find an owners manual to confirm if they changed the menue over to match the Falcon.

Any insight from your end? Best guess?

Thanks for the info @001. My local HBPD will run K as well, and I turn K off.

With that said, for my driving "style", I'm not concerned about any K used by Sheriffs. My CMs don't even activate until I'm over 55 mph. I'm hardly +5 on surface streets.

For me, I'm more concerned about CHP on the freeways.

HBPD = Huntington Beach or Hermosa Beach?

I have no clue what it is after looking at mine for several minutes.....

The display looks like my Falcon HR but the little glimpse I get of the side in the OP pic looks like a Talon....So no conclusion my way...

Thanks @croup

That was going to be my next question.

Are the menu’s identical between your Falcon HR and your Talon II when powered on. You can see, mine are quite different.

No they are not identical......Haven't played with the Talon much since acquiring and wondering if they make a non directional model Talon II....The menu in OP only resembles my Falcon HR menu...

Post pics of both on shortly

This time Falcon HR on left Talon II on right

Huntington Beach

CHP is all over PCH. It's like running the gauntlet from Laguna to Sunset Beach.

Thank you.
So ya.... your Talon II menu is exactly like my Talon as I posted in post#15.

My Falcon and Talon matches your displays even though mine isn’t a Talon II.

I still haven’t found a manual for the Talon II or a manual that shows the Talon being able to give both the towards and away arrows like the Falcon.

I wonder if they used the Falcon guts for the Talon II promotional literature?
Just a guess.

Thanks. Had no idea HBPD ran K-band. All the more reason to leave it on, as HBPD can cite on PCH even though it's CHP territory.

Just a guess.

The Talon Directional Model in this ebay listing is noticably different than the Falcon HR but maybe only because it is not a newer firmware....So possibly a newer directional Talon may look similar to the Falcon...

It appears someone is trying to get to the bottom of this by going straight to the horse's mouth. Well done. Let's see if it plays out.

Looks like our CA friends will no longer be able to run their Redline-Os. K band is back!
