Still have the Super Snooper? I was a Fuzzbuster guy, I & II, until C&D caught them stuffing an Escort in their box for C&D Testing...Well, as long as we are at it, has anybody spotted any S band out there (2-4 GHz)?

I run with all bands on.
A while back, I was checking JBV1 settings and noticed that X band was turned off for some reason. I recently upgraded JBV1 from the 'net. I don't remember turning X off, but it was off.
The Radar Sentry was my very 1st Detector in 1970 !Well, as long as we are at it, has anybody spotted any S band out there (2-4 GHz)?

X band hit 1.5 - 2 miles with today on 75 south, state trooper with constant on, I was kind of shocked at first but you could see the giant antenna on his carAny videos of this on your R7? I’m genuinely interested.
my first speeding ticket was with X band in early 2000s in NJ.
Also have they gotten rid of any equipment and upgraded lately hence why you’re not coming in contact with them ?
Please tell Me you have a dash cam now lolX band hit 1.5 - 2 miles with today on 75 south, state trooper with constant on, I was kind of shocked at first but you could see the giant antenna on his car
V1 G2 ramp up was rather poor, only made it to 5 bars at the trooper
Sorry don’t have one yet...lol...wife wasn’t happy with my 3rd radar detector, dash cam not in the works currentlyPlease tell Me you have a dash cam now lol
Yes X band is used still used Ohio. I encounter X at least 2 to 3 times a month. Last one was being used on Hy 475 in Mamuee. On a shiny new gray OSP Charger. Keep X band on in Ohio. TnxI’ve ran into a few Ohio state troopers running X band with my R7, however, despite driving the same roads for 4 months with the V1G2 I have not had similar encounters. This is despite running into the troopers hidden with the old x band antennas on their roofs.
I was wondering if anyone has had any x band encounters with the V1G2? Or for that matter knew anything about how it filters X band?
That was my first radar detector - back in the S and X band only days. Good thing was - it was all CO. No IO back in those days.Well, as long as we are at it, has anybody spotted any S band out there (2-4 GHz)?

Yep, MR7. Used to test with this long time ago. One person around here back then, took the mount, figured how to attach a 8mm movie cam, and took film of autocross runs. The second image looks like a Kustom MR7, which was an X band radar. They had a signal so strong that even the passive (no LO) Radio Shack Road Patrol could pick it up at a long distance!

My dad sold these at his stores when they first came out. Later on they had this odd shaped model that had the horn sticking out (instead of the long “lens” on the front of the unit in your picture. Event the newer model went from X band to X/K. Was horrible device. Like a Fuzzbuster, or Bearfinder, old school kit radio crap inside, compared to original Escort.Well, as long as we are at it, has anybody spotted any S band out there (2-4 GHz)?

Yes - it was MR7 - I had problems finding a 'Silver Moon' picture. (as we call it) Since it was chromed and huge as a moon. Hanging on the rear window - yes i am that old and and 'battled' those when first licensed. Only good thing was they where all (S and X) CO only back then. IO didn't come along till a bit later. S Band was in our current 2.4 gig wifi band. (Stephenson S band and a Kustom MR7 X band) GTO_04 If i remember right - the MR7's where X band right? The second image looks like a Kustom MR7, which was an X band radar.
