Looking for the best small radar detector. I currently have a integrated K40, so in terms of aesthetics, it’s hard to beat, but I’m willing to mount to my windshield. I bought a redline 360c but it’s HUGE and protrudes way too much. If there aren’t any good suggestions I might try a blend mount, but if there’s a nice looking small radar detector with great range, filtering, etc. like the 360c then I’ll go for that.

Radenso makes a very small detector that meets your standards. While its distance isn't as good as your RL360c its good enough to save you in plenty of time. Its very quiet and very small to hide on a visor if you choose.

The Radenso Pro M is probably the smallest you will find. It’s a great RD. However the 360c, R7 and V1 gen 2 are the top dogs for range and they are all close in size. The 360c is probably the largest I believe but not by too much.

If you can get the 360c to work with a different mount I would stick with that.

Detectors with arrows tend to be on the bigger side, so if you want the smallest you can go, it's going to be a single antenna. Radenso Pro M is the smallest and the Uniden R3 is a little bigger but still pretty small as well. Either of those will provide you with better performance than your K40 and fall into a good price bracket while being physically stealthy on the windshield.

Even though size was not a major consideration when I bought the Pro M, I was still very impressed with how tiny it is. It's like a slightly fatter pack of cigarettes. If it's not small enough for you, no windshield mount will be.

It's a very good performer. Not bleeding-edge range, but basically the next step down. BSM false resistance is excellent (a major consideration for me, I Hate BSMs).

I'd suggest get a V1G2, mount it up way high out of your way and hard to see from outside your car, then get a remote display.

Radenso Pro M is the smallest I'd say. Unless you get a $25 Batman detector. Which I wouldn't recommend.

The Pro M is probably the smallest with dimensions: 2-7/16"W x 1-3/8"H x 3-5/8"D

The r3 is a little bigger at approximately 2-3/4" W x 1-1/2" H x 4-1/2" D.

Escorts detectors tend to be on the larger side, the Redline 360C is 1.3” H x 3.35” W x 5.13” D

SAME HERE for the b!tchy ..... ehrrrr OPINIONATED GF.

I would NEVER give her a chatty detector .. period. I first gave her my R3 and tightened it down harshly. She hated it cause """ it always goes off". " CANT i just shut it up". Etc etc

Gave her the Pro M and HAPPINESS AND BLISS !!

The R3 is small, but still K Band chatty ... at least in our ATL environment. The Pro M is quiet until it is needed, then it's " Johnny on the spot " ALERTS. Still my R3 will outdistance it.

360C is indeed a large detector. Vortex weighed them recently and found it to be the heaviest between it, V1G2 and R7 by double. You didn’t say how small you want to go but I cannot recommend the Pro M. I would have to step up a level and look at the R3 as suggested for single antenna or V1G2 for dual antenna. Having the rear antenna as you know from using the 360C can be helpful for awareness. Arrows are fantastic. Not all threats are in front of you. If you like all in one without the dependence of a phone, R3 for size. R7 for performance and still smaller than the 360C. Curious to see which one you go with in the end.

Looooord I hear you @benzr. My other half bitched and bitched about my V1GEN1. Many times I just drove with it off and would rather take my chances then listen to her crap. Then I got the Pro M. Wow, was it quite. Now my family drives are so less stressful. We are both happy. It works great, in fact so great that she confiscated my Pro M and she runs it as her daily.
