Usually the lowest speed limit you see around here is 30. So I set my detector to 25mph for the auto-mute function. The default was 20mph on my detector.

What do you guys set yours to?

Likewise, I use the lowest speed limit around here, which is 15 mph, (downtown).

I'm thinking about bumping mine up as well. I was in Birmingham the other day and it was going absolutely nuts downtown around UAB.

I use 40. Any threat under that is usually MRCD which isn’t affected by the muting on my R7 and it still gives me a short audio warning before muting other signals too. Generally I find roads that are a lower PSL than 40 I am not moving much more swiftly than the PSL anyway just due to lights and traffic etc.

Lowest speed around here is 25 mph so I keep it at 20 mph. K Band is a huge threat in my area so I can’t afford any late or missed alerts by setting it at a higher speed.

I have been using 35 mph for the past year and been satisfied with it.

Due to school zones, I set it for 20 MPH.

I keep mine at 30 but I have thought about lowering it to 25. Seems like, maybe not, auto lockouts do not apply to signals that are muted via low speed muting. If thats right, something about the speed I could go in a parking lot or garage is where I want the setting to be. That way, auto lockout can apply to everything else.

I use 90 MPH Quiet Ride on R7. I get one beep and visual on screen.
