Is there a list somewhere by state and maybe even by county for the make/models of cop vehicles to look out for in the area. If I know what I'm looking for, I can usually spot them pretty good and this would be helpful for long road trips. Just wondering if something like this exists already?

Google search, "50 States of Speeding: Know the Law in Every State" an outdated but still useful Popular Mechanics article. It has the info and more. I haven't found anything more current.

I would post the link but I'm not sure it that is allowed.

Popular Mech says it was first published on R&T

it is 6 years old.

Mississippi state troopers are using both Chargers and Explorers and the current grey is darker than in the past (as shown at R&T)

Sorry, the eternal smartass in me says to just look for the vehicles with pushbars and antennas on them

Once upon a time the Houston Police had Gremlins.

Seems like there is a thread or 3 around here but of course: Always look for the absence of roof rack kit on SUVs. Chargers with boy racer stuff are usually safe at least on the east coast however not in HI. States that use the Taurus - you can look for the extra key hole on the sort of middle right hand side of the trunk lid such as the VA State Police.

Of course this is assuming the vehicle has a lightbar and decorations. Command vehicles (ie Captain's) for the MS HP lack the lightbar but can still light you up. And the SO down here has at least one SUV with a roofrack rather than the lightbar. But all those have full decorations. That said the SO is running a black-out Charger without external lightbar and any decorations doing Interstate enforcement.

There is an absolutely awesome G8 in my hometown. Haven't seen it cruising for a while. But it's murdered out and they drive it aggressively to try and get you to race. It's all about safety right!?!?!?
