New user from KC. I own my own Technology Consulting Firm, and travel back and forth between KC and Phoenix. I typically fly, but at least 2-3 times a year I drive. I have a very heavy foot, and up to this point have only used Escort products. My first unit was the Escort 9500 IX, and it did a good job. Then I upgraded to the Escort Max 360. It saved my ass several times, actually more times than I could count. Someone broke into my truck about a month ago and helped themselves to my Max 360. I have been doing a lot of research and I am in limbo between the Uniden R7, Escort Max 360C or the Radenso Pro M. From everything I read the Uniden R7 is the way to go, but there are some features that I like on the Escort Max 360C. I really like the directional arrows, and believe it or not, my previous Max 360 saved my ass with laser a few times. I would appreciate all input. I am also interested in the Redline Max 360C, but it will not arrive in time for me to drive from KC to Phoenix on 9/24. My question is Uniden R7, Max 360C or Radenso Pro M, and then wait for the Theia? The Max 360C is the more expensive between the R7 and Radenso Pro M.

Welcome. Personally I would go with the R7 and see how you like it. I think you will be impressed with the range. Do some research on this forum and adjust the settings to your liking.

Welcome to the forum. As @2018GTI mentioned, they're all good choices so a large part of your decision will depend on how much $$ you want to spend and what features are important to you. I would probably lean toward the R7 and the 360c personally. I had a Pro M and wasn't impressed with it and sold it. IMHO, the reviews were much better than the performance of actual product and testing has shown it won't detect at a high level like the R7 or 360c. The 360c is a lot more expensive but it will also be the only one that offers autolockouts at the moment (the R7 is supposed to get that feature in the near future). Both will offer you great range. Good luck with your decision.

Welcome aboard.

Given you’re talking about this road trip and eventually considering Theia, I would recommend the R7. Auto lockouts won’t be any help on this trip, just around your regular everyday drives and the R7 is due to get this in the next firmware update. You’ll appreciate the range on this unit for a drive like you’re doing. The Pro M is also very nice and will be a quieter unit as it has some of the best filtering. Doesn’t have the range of the R7 but might be nicer ‘around town’ so to speak. It also does better with speed cameras typically. No arrows though. That said, for a trip like this I again keep coming back to the R7.

Another consideration if you’re serious about Theia is to just find something used to get you by for this trip. In that case see what’s available. A used R3 would get you by just fine.
