Called customer service with questions about backorders on redline 360c. Basically they are too busy to talk to potential customers and hang up on you after listening to a long whiny message. If you call their order line they pick up on the first ring. We will gladly take your money now but no questions for you. I know things are crazy now but how about the option of a call back. Anyway, they made my decision easy. Will wait for the Radenso when every thats available. Done with Escort! Thanks for listening to my whinnying.
Escort customer support may stick, but their radar detectors have saved my behind plenty of times. I’m a proud 5 + years owner. I own an Escort Max 360.

Gail from Escort visits occasionally. I think she's the CEO or whatever. But besides that, there's pretty much no official Escort support here.
Remember when Escort had their own forums and you could ask for a renewal of your Escort Live susbsription and after that one time it would automatically renew for free every year after that?

The Escort forum is pretty much dead. The mods over there are nuts.

They have always been helpful for me, what did they do that makes you say that? The forum there is definitely low volume compared to here, and here you can discuss more than just Escort products.

You’ll find people enjoying any brand who’ll say the same thing, even Cobra truck stop blister pack specials.

Well they went off on me for suggesting someone sell a used detector on eBay. I was told that I was only allowed to discuss the Escort trade-in program. **** that.

Their forum can be helpful at times but not nearly as informative as this one. Interestingly enough, even Escort themselves post here days before posting on their own site. I receive updates info here long before it's posted on their forum and that's even with regards to their newest addition, the RL360c! I asked John about this and he said there are simply more people who follow this forum!

I find it funny how all of a sudden Escort is all of a sudden quiet on the forums. Henceforth, the reason I will never purchase another Escort product. The beauty of this is the fact there are other comparable offerings available.
Companies are quiet while the individuals rant but does it lead to better customer service ?sometimes .other times it just changes the marketing if they sense a common theme.
The ones that improve and really listen may break through or be purchased to silence or protect market share. In the low interest rate
World we live in today if the competition get tough you buy them as brands and maybe even market them as competitors if you dominate the brands and divisions or even part own competition the money goes to the same place.
Americans don’t have a free choice market as much as they think and when you follow the ownership trail on a product you maybe surprised how you just gave your money to that
Company you disliked. One big shell game.

The Escort Forum is tightly controlled by the moderators IMO. I searched over there (ERF) a while ago regarding issues I have been experiencing with my Max360c, and it just wasn’t nearly as helpful compared to the RDF. I very rarely even go to the Escort Radar Forum anymore.

If I have a question about my my Max360c, I ask it here as I know I have a much better chance of getting non biased advise or suggestions.

Sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands .If you buy a car for the warranty that’s a mistake because they write the warranty and are the gate keepers if you buy a car or anything ,as a well educated choice you will be happier escorts latest models have been rushed and customer support has declined since Cedar take over . The bugs get worked out but the frustration level wears customers down. I am watching Radenso as my next detector choice but I am not rushing in.

I agree. I did get the Escort Service plan in February of 2019 when I bought the Max360c to extend the warranty an extra two years past the original 1 year. I just haven’t had good luck with the Max360c.

This Max360c is my warranty exchange unit for my original defective Max360c. My current Max360c is at Escort right now for service for the third time for the same issue. At least after the second service, the problem has become less frequent, but I will only use my Max360c in the city now.

Is it a firmware issue, hardware issue, or both? I don’t know. I just know I still have a bug in my Max360c. Some people haven’t had any issues or problems with their Max360c. It is what it is. Once I get it back from Escort, I will use it for awhile to make sure it is working properly, and I will sell it on Ebay because I just need to move on.

I originally had a Max360 (early version) which was pretty solid. Then Mac360c...took three replacements to get one that worked. Now R360c...took two replacements to get one. I'll keep the R360c until Theia comes out but also looking to move on.

I'm very happy with my RL360c and I'll likely to keep my RL360c for myself and not look to upgrade to another high end radar detector even Theia comes out in the next couple months. My RL360 has no rattle since bought it in June and it performs really solid after updated its firmware to v1.4 despite it still triggering K fault alerts with K notch on (running the detector in highway mode) and also it does occasionally getting some MRCD/CT fault alerts . In addition, I have not had experience any KA false alerts as some other guys reported on the forum nor laser faults either. No detectors are perfect as Vortex said in his YouTube videos. My RL360c already saved me many times from encountering Leo since it running on the first day back in June. I have confident Escort will release additional firmware updates in the future to address any problems that the detector has as well as continue to improve its functionality of this detector.

Like I responded earlier, I won't used sucks based on my experience with the company. However, I am actually disappointed that Gail & Co, who are actually on this forum, have not taken time to respond to this thread. They read it just like us. There is no shame is saying we hear you and are working to fix things - and give some examples on how they are doing that. This isn't the first post regarding poor ESCORT CS. Some of us are spending $800+ on ESCORT products. Without some acknowledgement of the CS issues (c'mon, we all know they are there, COVID or not), at least to folks who have experienced these CS issues first hand, plenty of us may just move from ESCORT to the next thing equal to our favorable ESCORT product. This is not Rocket Science ESCORT!

Yes they are. They are the reason I stopped buying their products after 20 years. 4-5 years ago when Larry was up to his famous tactic of banning people if they said anything negative about an Escort. I sent him an email asking why I got banned for trying to get a problem solved I was having without having a warning first. His response was I violated the rules. I then responded that there was no need to get all butt hurt because my RD wasn't preforming like it should. He then threatened to take legal action against me. Turns out 3 months later a FW update was released to fix the problem I was having.

Jeez, taking legal action against your own client is the greatest stupidity a company can do. It's better to simply avoid troubles by not buying their product.

Yup. That’s why I’m done buying their overpriced junk products along with garbage customer service!

Uniden and Valentine Research are the only companies I currently trust and support. Others are either overpriced or act like they’re some special gift to the RD world. Not hard to figure out who I’m talking about. 🤣

Yes, many here have had the 'legal threat' encounter from Escort, join the club. That is the reason their forum is a ghost town. Follow their script or get banned and/or threatened to be sued. I have dealt with a lot of customer service issues over my life, never once was a lawyer brought up. They are too set in their ways to change but they really need to do a full clean sweep of their CS dept and start new. Hire some fresh blood but do NOT have the current employees train them or the cycle will continue.

I was going to start a new thread but I will just leave this here:

Funny.JPG

We are not allowed to even hint at another product besides Escort on their forum (which has a very tiny social reach) yet they post this on Facebook?! Escort posting a photo of a V1G2, I just had to laugh. Even in the article the G2 is the top on the list, even though they don't number them.

I recently posted a reply on the Escort forum to someone with a link to Amazon for an RJ-11 splitter. The link was removed and replaced by a picture of a splitter and I was admonished. So much for an innocuous helping hand I thought that is what these forums are all about.

I had not been on the Escort forum for about four years which is the time I replaced my Max with an XP. I went back onto the Escort forum when I purchased the RL360c at launch. The Escort forum activity that I remember sure dried up.
