The thinner display does indeed look really nice. If I went for a custom, I would wait for the colored option. I think it would be more informative at quick glance to see color and strength vs the all red. I didn’t think I was interested in one at all since the detector is easy enough to see but with the examples in the video from Vortex, I see now what people are doing with them. It could be nice to have the detector off and not visible through the back window. So, I will wait and watch for a colored version and go from there.

I think I can use a splitter to make this work. Currently have a BTLE in the aux port because I use JBV1 and V1Driver at the same time.

Indeed. I'm waiting for a thin one with colored bands from him.

It's actually a "2-line coupler" that you need to have 2 devices using the same aux port.
Valentine's website has some info on them.

Installed mine tonight. I may try sensor mode in JBV1. I kind of like how the main display is on during the day, turns off during the night. I will end up most likely keeping the main display off.

That's the reason I opted out of the fcd color display for the v1g2. I prefer the stealthier look of the purple screen.

Although this is a Gen1 ESP display that I modified, I think it could look good with this kind of treatment.
