So MRCD/CT gets talked about quite a bit, but there's a bunch of other systems out there like the Gatso, Mesta Fusion, Redflex, and so on. There's laser systems like the Poliscan. There's systems that use cameras only or sensors under the road so your RD won't alert to them at all without a GPS database.

It'd be nice to have a centralized database that explains all the different types of systems, shows photos of what they look like, maps out locations where they're in use, talks about what detectors/settings work best against them, etc. I'm sure @Jon at Radenso could provide a bunch of helpful info thanks to all the RAI development, but this'd be something that'd be awesome to see the community come together to work on.

Here's a list below that's very much a work in progress to get the ball rolling:

Radar-Based:

MultaRadar CD:

Fixed & mobile photo radar
Locations: Alberta, Quebec, NYC, Maryland, & Washington D.C.
Info: Link needed

Fixed box on the side of the road:

MRCD & MRCT location info: https://www.rdforum.org/threads/82511/

Gatso:

Recommended detectors:
Uniden R3 or R7 with TSF off on FW 1.53 should pick those up. Not great but can.
Pro-M on FW US22 is really good at detecting those.

Mesta Fusion:

Redflex:
Mobile speed cameras (SUV)
Locations: Arizona, Pennsylvania, Alberta (Calgary)
Info: PA info, Arizona example video, Alberta example video

DragonCam:

Locations: Edmonton (Alberta)
Info: DragonCam website

Sensors in the road:

These don't use radar or laser for speed measurement so you'll be reliant on a GPS database to alert you to these speed traps.

Xerox Drivesafe:
Fixed speed cameras, transmits K band, but not detectable by Max 360c
Location: Darnestown (Maryland)
Info: Forum discussion, manufacturer info

If you have info, please post it up here or link it into this thread so we can start compiling a centralized database. :)

Great idea, because MRCD tends to refers to many types of radars which be confusing at times.

Might not hurt to include other non radar or lidar based speed cameras, such as the Redspeed Redcurb that operate off sensors mounted in the road.

Also, MRCD's are mobile, either mounted in vehicles or tripods.

Exactly. It seems "MRCD" is often starting to be used for "pole mounted camera that my detector isn't alert to for some reason," lol

Great idea. I can add the Poliscan to the list. What's the story with the Redspeed Redcurb?

Are there no fixed MRCD's?

This is the Speedcurb camera, they're common in Ecuador and England, parts of the US.

MRCD has a wide definition but to me this an MRCD:

You guys are amazing! Keep it coming!

I feel like this may have to turn into something more organized and broken up as we get more info put together.

Don’t ask about stuff ......you don’t want to know about lol.

I should just keep quiet. Edmonton could be an notorious island of enforcement by itself.

That’s why all the manufactures that want to know.... come here. One stop shopping.

Redflex is used in work zones in Pennsylvania.
References with pics:
I have zero complaints with how PA is currently implementing it there. It's not a cash revenue stream, but aimed at actual worker safety.

I like the idea of this and it could even be expanded to include all types of speed enforcement systems. For example, handheld radar/lidar, mobile radar such as any dash mount systems like a Bee III, Kustom Golden Eagle II, portable systems that can only be used while stationary, like MRCD or Poliscan.
