I just wanted to see if anyone ran across any noteworthy items on their MAX 360c after installing this recent update.
I see that the new JTK seems to work fine from those who tested it (thank you guys).
Any feedback on K notch on this particular model, or increase/decrease in falses on any of its other bands?

My wife runs the Max 360C and she has said it's a little quieter especially with the K Notch, we run it (R7) even though K Band is hot and heavy here in Michigan, just hope we don't get burned.

I get more rear KA false alerts. When you get an alert the unit beeps a little before the arrow lights up. The wifi is still incompatible with my car. All things considered, it is just a different flavor of disappointment.

The increase in rear Ka false alerts is concerning. I remember when firmware 1.9 came out, laser false alarms increased.

My Max360c is at Escort being serviced right now, but I imagine they will update it to 1.12 from 1.11 as the last time I had this unit serviced in November 2019 they upgraded the firmware from 1.10 to 1.11 while it was there. I thought firmware 1.11 was pretty good and probably my favorite firmware to date, so I am hoping the Escort service department does not change the firmware while it is there, but they changed it last time, so I expect it will have the new firmware when it comes back. I do wish Escort did like Uniden and allowed users to go back to prior firmware versions if the newest firmware is not a good fit for the user.

When it arrives back, I will report back after spending some time with firmware 1.12. I will likely try the K-Notch as I haven't encountered any real police K-band in the 24.190 to 24.210 range.

I too remember 1.9 which is why I was inquiring about 1.12.
Whenever Escort gets a detector returned for service they automatically update both the software and database with the latest available before returning it. We look forward to hearing any comments you may have on 1.12, especially if there are any new rear Ka falses that were not there before, as well as any benefits from the new K-notch.

EDIT: I will be interesting to see if you still have your stored Lockouts & Marks when it is returned.

Please keep us posted. I owned a M360c for a year or so and loved it. I had been waiting on the JTK option for a while and Escort came through. Id like to read about the progress of the new FW on the M360c.

I will definitely report back once it is returned. In terms of if I still have my stored lockouts and marked locations when I get it back, that will be easy for me. I have Auto Learn disabled, and I only have one manual lockout (I recently locked out a K-band speed sign in my neighborhood) and no marked locations, so I will definitely check that out when I get it back.

I likely will clear the one manual lockout that I have when I get it back. I would probably use Auto Learn if there wasn’t so much K band used in my city, but I do see a lot of K-band in my city, and I just don’t feel comfortable using K-band GPS lockouts on any of my radar detectors.

I just did some filter testing of v1.12 on a MAX360c that I updated from v1.08. I had not gone past that version previously because v1.09 caused some laser falses so I held it there temporarily. I used a standalone RD (no EL wifi/buletooth) and a car without CAS systems to avoid any issues from them. I'm happy to report that this new firmware version seems better than the older one as far as rejection of falses when its filters are enabled. I was in Auto, TSR-On, K-Notch-On & MRCD enabled. Again, this was testing on filter capability not distance.

LASER: Falses here have never been a problem pre v1.09 and what software adjustment was done post 1.09 has apparently remedied the issue. I get to test laser each day since we have Poliscans and they alerted normally and they manually lock out as usual (the length of retention of a manual laser lockout always has been in question on all models however). Both front and rear sensors perform well.

Ka: I am not experiencing any falses, either from the front or rear antenna.

K: I used to get an occasional rear antenna BSM false every now and then from a passing vehicle going in the other direction but with K-notch enabled I haven't had one yet. I used to get occasional Acura BSMs too, but on a 100+ mile drive I only got 2 beeps from a single Acura that I was passing in the immediately adjacent lane. Previously any such alerts were more lengthy.

MRCD: I have never run across MRCD in MD (as opposed to fixed MRCT which band the NA version of the M360c does not yet pick up). I got a few false alerts around 24.125 (displayed as "124.125-Md") but it was only a few, and interestingly they were out in the middle of nowhere so they must have come from a passing vehicle. I wish the arrows showed direction so I could have ascertained the precise source as they were extremely brief. I drove through several towns littered with RLCs and received no MRCD false alerts from them. I believe they are MRCT triggered. If anyone runs across an MRCD emitter in MD I'd love to give it a try. I've read reports they are here but have never seen one (as opposed to MRCT). I did of course get a GPS alert for these "silent" emitters.

Just some preliminary feedback and interestingly when I switched to Highway Mode briefly I did not see a dramatic change in falses while actually on the highway.

I should get ahold of Vortex and see if he would let me plug in his R360c into my Kenwood/Escort integration to see if my Compustar Alarm will Ka false like my Max 360c does. Getting really tired of my Max 360c Ka falsing when I lock/unlock and put my truck into turbo timer mode. Worth a trip to E town....

Nice- I have a Kenwood/Escort RL360c/ZR5 integrated system in my Cayman S and I have NO KA falses like I did with my M360c!
Its cool to hear someone else that has the same system setup as I have. Good luck, I hope yours works out for you.

Awesome to hear as well. The integration is a very slick set up!!!
My Compustar Alarm/Starter sets off a Ka false when I unlock or lock my truck and going into and out of turbo timer mode. My Max 360c never did this until the MRCD update last year. I'm really curious if the R360c would false. If it doesn't false, I will get rid of my Max 360c and get a R360c because it's so annoying.. LOL

Are you near Heywood? If so, if it works for both your schedules, you can meet up to try it out before he mails it back. :)

Expect 2-4 days when it hits customs for delay, then a couple days sitting in the main Canada Post distribution center for entering into Canada.
Between those two I've had a week added to shipping on my last 3 radar detector or radar gun shipments.

Insipids Falcon HR is in the same package from Texas.

Once it gets here, I’ll be shipping it to you.
