I have a car that falses like crazy to laser with my Valentine 1 Gen 2 (so often I was going to have to turn laser off or use the sticker trick someone used). The original Redline O also falses to laser in my car but less).

My Redline 360c both with firmware rev. 1.3 (5 drives including one long one) and now also during one drive so far with 1.4 I is not falsing to laser at all.

Now, given this,, I am curious how well the R360c actually detects laser! :)
I have a tester (from Laser Interceptor), but that is more just to tell if the detector can detect the various pulse rates, not the same as testing its real world capability against an actual long distance beam.
Will at least run the key FOB laser tester against it to see...

Laser tester photo below for those who do not know what it is:

Joe from Escort was kind enough to provide some advice.

I mounted the redline under the rear mirror instead of the typical top left corner and it worked perfectly.

Mounting it in the location also positioned the front sensor behind the idrive screen which I think helped as well.

I’m going to order a couple more once they are on backorder.

Great! Now if they'll only ship the RL 360c that I ordered a week ago and have been charged for since placing the order!

It’s worth the wait but I hope you get it soon! I’m trying to buy a couple more myself.

I just finally got a hold of them to send mine back for the rattle inside. I decided to plug it in and go for a 15 minute ride and it k band falsed on my 2020 dodge ram like 20 times on a short ride in Highway mode in the middle of no where. Are some cars too strong on the blindspot to use this detector?

Which firmware update are you running?

Thanks, I'm confident I'll be happy with it. I read that they won't ship until early September :( When you get the new ones you're ordering, post when they arrive. I'm curious. Thanks.

My wife drives Jeep Wrangler JL with BSM, and it will frequently trigger K-band false alarms on my Max360c rear antenna in Highway mode. I just normally don’t use the Max360c in her Jeep as the BSM false alarms can get annoying. I don’t have any issues with BSM false alarms running my V1G2 or R3 in her Jeep. I use my Max360c in our other vehicles (with no BSM systems) and have no issues with K-band falses.

Some detectors may not be a good fit for certain vehicles. Hopefully you will be able to use your RL360c in your Dodge Ram without having to lower K-band sensitivity.

Suppose it would defeat the purpose of the arrows, but. If your own vehicle is falsing it, can you disable the rear antennae on the detector? Notice i can watch a new honda or chrysler product cruise by and I'll catch their bsm "wake" after they go past. If you disabled the rear antenna you would think it would at least cut down on some falses

I mentioned this before but with only 4 months left in the year, constant falsing in my Dodge, I'm gonna wait for you know what coming before the end of the year

Looking like it can't come out fast enough. Hope it works as well as they're making it out to be and not a million dollars.

Comparable to the new redline and I'd do it. Prior to a few serious glitches with my max2, i loved it. Thought it was the best unit. Was hoping my next cm purchase would be just a 2 head alp setup but theia might have to happen 1st. Really as much as i drive, should just do both but my cars' got a lot of miles on it but i keep up with everything and it's cleaner than most cars with 20k

The zero bsm's will make it worth it to me at this point.

Right. Crazy the last 5 to 10 years with these cars. Won't even know how to handle it. To never get a false, anytime it makes a sound it's for real. Let's hope it actually does work that well. If it does, I'd like to go work in their sales dept, be easy money. Unless it's priced so high to where you can't get high volume, marketing outside of rdf would be helpful too. If it wasn't for this site, i wouldn't know about it. Talked to a custom shop in chicago about alps and we were talking about it for a min. That was the only person i talked to not on here that has said anything about it and the only reason i knew of the shop was this site. Have a good one, gotta be up early again

I think you are likely going to be waiting much more than a week, my friend. And if you think Escort is going to give you any information on where you are in the que or an expected ship date, you are likely in for a disappointment. I waited 2 hours and 40 minutes on hold with CS, only to be told "no information".

Escort now has a RL360C ship date on its website. (Currently the Week of 9/20/20).

Bravo!

With the 1.4 update I'm noticing more K band full blast false alerts. This detector was really quiet (I hope I'm wrong) but it's starting to act like every other detector.

Did you factoy reset your RD after updating to 1.4? If so you have to enable Knotch again.

Is there a recognition of the 4 second audio drop out issue? If so, is a fix in the works?

I don’t think you can disable the rear antenna on the Max360c or the RL360c or even adjust the rear antenna sensitivity separately from the front antenna. If you can, I am not aware of that. I don’t have the RL360c, just the Max360c. I believe on the R7 you can adjust the rear sensitivity separately.

Redline 360c Firmware v1.4

What’s New in Firmware v1.4

Enhancements:

  • Arrow response time improved
  • Improved signal processing on all bands. For situations where a single strong signal was showing up as multiple signals.
  • Spec meter available

How to Get the Update

If you are taking advantage of the Wi-Fi connection in your vehicle or have access

to Wi-Fi, you will be prompted for the update once it becomes available. If you are

not able to access Wi-Fi, you can connect your Redline 360c to your computer via

USB (https://www.escortradar.com/pages/update-your-device). There are two

different links on the page depending on if you are using Windows or Mac OS.

Keep the Feedback Coming

We want to keep hearing from you! If you have feedback or suggestions on how to make the Redline 360c even better, send an email to [email protected].
With 1.4 now getting K band false to Honda & Acuras. Others are starting to report the same thing. I'm starting to run the Red Line in AutoLoK for now to keep this under control. Here in NJ all bands are in use so I'm hoping for an adjustment on K band to fix this. If I could go back to 1.3 I would do so.

Same in NJ. Took a road trip this weekend, lots of X and K band falses. I have a Max 360 with the latest firmware, and it has been far quieter than the R360C with 1.4.
