Is ohio always this bad? They have had planes up from 8am to 5pm for the last week. All located just outside columbus. Today it was I71 to the north. Yesterday it was I70 to the west in the construction zone. Friday it was i70 to the east. But two planes up simultaneously, on the same highway, on a Sunday. Wow!

This was west of CLE on I-90. I have JBV1 PAWS set to max miles and see I-218 on I-71 too.

This is a pic of one in the sky. There is a little dot at the top of the photo.

These are from Friday and Saturday. The airplane enforcement from OSP has been crazy this past month.

We don't have aircraft enforcement here in Texas, so I have never handled a ticket based on measure from the air. It seems like it would be a bit of a handful for the prosecutor.
You will need the pilot or observer from the aircraft to testify. You will need the LEO from the ground who issued the citation to testify. You will need a witness to say the marks alongside the highway were measured and were exactly "x" feet apart. What did they measure them with? Does the timing device in the aircraft work?

A good ticket attorney could really make the state have to work to prove its case.

Looks like they were very busy today. I drove through two airplane traps late this morning. One on I-275 over Sharonville and the other Monroe on I-75. Both traps were from one plane but hours apart, same track as the picture I posted above.

This is part of the OSPs run-up to Thanksgiving. The planes are plentiful and cheap to run and the results must be profitable enough to keep them flying. There are currently 22 aircraft of which 18 can be used for traffic patrols. The remainder are helicopters and multi-passenger aircraft. Thank you everyday to JBV1 and HR.

Did you see one of the planes I posted above that appeared to be doing traffic enforcement? It's a 9 passenger plane.

Yes, the Grand Caravan! It depends on how it's configured. I've been trying for months to catch a photo of this one at their homebase.

We've been keeping track of the WI flights as well. They've had all 3 planes in the air a few times the last week!

Yes the FBO is at DS, but on the north side. There's an OSP and Medflight campus off Brookdown south of 161.
