Received RL360c today and went for a short city blocks driving to get some feels to it. I used R7 as my baseline and went through a familiar route with various X and K sources, as well as traffic monitoring cameras.

RL360 performed a little better than R7 in terms of BSM. Out of 25+ miles trip, I only encountered one 24.168MHz from possible BSM from Acura in front of me. However, not like R7, the BSM is a very short alert. It happened during traffic stop, then stopped alerting after few seconds, even I was traveling right behind the Acura for few blocks. I was wondering if that has anything today about Escort described their “AI” principle, by tracking a suspected BSM based on signal strength and relative to my car movement. Just my wild speculation. With auto lock out for those K door openers at shopping plaza, RL360c is clearly much quite than R7 with city driving from my initial experiences.

Now, here is my MRCD/T question: With R7, at one section of my neighborhood, near every intersection R7 has displayed with MRCD alerts due to the traffic monitoring cameras on traffic lights poles. But, with RL360c, I only got one “M” alert. (Yes. I did turned MRCD/T on in the settings, in case you were asking). Not an exporter in that area, and won’t think all of the cameras were down today, was some sort of filter in RL360c? Or just Escort had different bandwidth coverage different than Uniden? Will keep my eyes on that and do some more runs.

In about week, I will have a long trip which will cross OH, PA, MD, DE, and NJ states. Will have the opportunities to do some real world highway experiences.

Once again, all my experiences here just a simple personal observations. Not any testing with scientific proof nor official comparisons with R7.

Agreed. I was typing on an iPad mini, and didn’t pay much of attention. Auto correction got me well :police3: I guess it’s too late now to re-edit now.

The R360 and MRCD and MRCT question.... I’ll be having answers to that in the near future.

@Brainstorm69 @Vortex and myself have been strategizing behind the scenes on the R360 testing.

Between us, we’re looking at covering the all the bases with the R360.

Looking forward to that! And if you gents find any magic to get better detection range, please advise.

HZ360C I just wanted to comment on your upcoming trip. In PA only State Police can use radar and it is all K band. In NJ you will run into everything including X band. Have fun!

Yes. Thanks. I travel this route twice a month, haven’t seen much actions in PA and NJ. However, there were a lot of actions in MD. So far R7 has been serving me well, plus Waze for added caution. I am primary traveling through I-76, I-70, I-95, and anything between. Will find out how RL360 performing.

Today, ran few trips around the town again, but enabled K-notch (didn’t realize it was disabled by default). It suddenly made RL360 much quite. Almost made you thinking if it was still working :) Definitely noticeable difference.
