Excellent! Thanks for the excellent support Tom and keeping ALP on top against the ever evolving threat landscape. It's nice to not worry when I drive :)

It's been so long (understandable!) that for a good 5 seconds I had to remember how to update my ALP.

I'm not even kidding!!!!!

[sigh. I'm old]

This is awesome, thank you! Any idea when it will be available in the bluetooth app for update? Just noticed it isn't showing up there yet, but not a big deal to throw the USB in! Either way, great news

It usually takes 1-3 days before everyone is notified after a release. There is not one universal file that gets shared, There is a firmware update generated for each and every active serial numbered unit.

Are you able to comment if this Fw addresses the Tx vs extremities situation?

Very much appreciated that you're keeping ALP in the loop of our testing.
:thanks:

I can say the TX issues discussed on this forum was was blown out of proportion. All I will say in public is that we value our users and will always put our users protection as our first priority. We do a lot of testing and we have the largest modern gun collection of any company and our collection is serviced and updated regularly. If we detect a change we quietly roll out updates to keep you protected.

My apologies, but I am a bit rusty at the ALP firmware upgrades. To confirm, after the upgrade we need to redo the config file and load it again? Also, can we use our old config file to redo it or should we make a new one.

TIA.

The system will tell you if your settings need to get defaulted. This is mostly determined by how old your old firmware is. You may or may not need to reload your settings but using a new config file on the same drive is always recommended.

Lemme know if you want to do a another mini meetup to test your system. Wouldn't be the first time we tested in the midst of a hurricane!

J/K. Not too concerned about Isaias but stay safe nonetheless!

I'm not going to change my head configuration at this point before the trip I don't think, Just due to timing of everything. That said next time we do a test I will definitely do an A/B comparison with the TX head again to see how it does. If it does better I might leave it on after that though. I suspect it will do much better, but I'm pretty solid with my setup right now so I should survive GA.

Be safe in the storm, small though it may be.

I just upgraded 3 of my systems..as others mentioned it's been a long time since I also accessed/upgraded but all went smoothly thanks to ALP tech..and sensor position relearn is automatically completed with the default setting then a simple settings download and all is complete...so much easier than the old days..loading flashdrive...digging out and plugging drive into cpu etc..
ALP rules !!

Tom,

How many is 1-3 days in terms of Gearheads wanting to download the update from bluetooth? I checked several times today and it said Firmware is up to date. I guess you will be having me checking till I call you on Monday. Hopefully I get it first thing in the morning tomorrow.

Can you please elaborate on the net radar update? What are the changes? Any new features? Anything in development as there has to be a way to get auto lockouts like escort. Thats all we need!!!

Have you tried downloading from the website and upgrading via USB?

I think ALP phases their FW roll out over several days to prevent overloading their servers. Email notifications are sent to users when their updates are ready.
