Redline 360c - First drive impressions. Very happy so far, but some interesting K band falses (BSM?)

Third drive yesterday:
BSM false filtering - EXCELLENT on this drive! Only one (or two) K band falses that I recall (one was 24.173 I believe but don't quote me on that) despite a lot of traffic.
Had a long range strong K band signal that luckily turned out to be due to a fixed speed sign on the side of the road; very good range.

First real Ka hit with my R360c (34.7):
2 LEOs (driving together) on the opposite side of a wide multi-lane road with a dividing section. Unfortunately not a long detection range, but it was only 1 encounter so it is too early to form any conclusion obvsiously. I may raise the detector mounting position a bit (1 - 1.5 inches) higher on the windshield...
Heavy traffic may have played a role, but the range was not more than 0.15 - 0.2 miles (included the leading 0 for ease of readability) and seemed closer to 0.15. I have noticed with prior detectors it can vary.
Will wait till I have experienced a number of Ka hits in different situations to form a better judgment.

Had two other Ka hits but one was a detection while on a U turn ramp and the LEO was on the opposite side of the highway, so not going to measure that one and the other one (same frequency but on the 'to' leg of my trip) but I did not see where he was.

Drive #4 (Aug 9):
  • No confirmed LEO encounters (one Ka 34.7 alert while stopped at a light, but no LEOs in my line of sight).
  • Impressed again at how quiet the the RL360c was on K band, yet again (even in Highway mode)! Trying to recall if I had any BSM falses. I may have had one or two inside a mall complex's parking lot while doing curbside pickup.
  • Also one or two X band alerts which Autolearn will take care of...
Thanks to how few K band falses I get, I will now be able to actually stop 'ignoring' K band alerts so much... :)

I do hope that Escort addresses the 'Auto' mode sensitivity being lower than it should be - the issue, as reported on the forum, is that K band sensitivity in Auto mode is not linear with speed like it should be and, based on recent tests, Auto mode is not close to Highway mode sensitivity even at higher speeds (highway speeds)...

Being able to use Auto mode reliably (i.e. with sensitivity properly proportional to vehicle speed) would help make an already (very) quiet detector (in terms of falses alerts) even quieter.
In the meantime, I may stick to Highway mode (even though K band is not used in my typical driving areas).

Had another drive this past weekend with the RL360c:
The great news is that it was eerily quiet from an alerts perspective! No BSM alerts to note and this was in Highway mode with most of the driving on local roads along with some highway driving.

Another drive on local roads today with the RL 360c in 'Highway mode; firmware version 1.4.
Not a single BSM alert! Nice to finally have a silent detector in terms of false alerts.

There was one LEO parked on the side of the road (dark unmarked car), but can only assume he was not running radar or waiting to use instant on. Hmmmm.
Too bad I do not have any Ka radar guns to test it against.

Also curious how well the RL 360c detects laser since it never falses to laser, unlike my V1 Gen 2 when I had that hooked up.
Windshield placement of the detectors is about the same.
