And another definite yes to that on handheld lasers in the greater DC area.

Poliscan laser cameras are interesting when you get lased at night because they light up the sky with a bright flash that looks like lightning. It's interesting on an interstate (like I-270 MD) when you get a lull in traffic and then a group of unsuspecting speeding cars then pass the device. It looks like a 4th of July fireworks grand finale. I always get a chuckle out of that.

Yup, been lidar'd countless times in NOVA by VSP and locals, especially FFX.

Yes, NY Thruway (I-90) all the time. They sit "darked out" in those "text" areas in wait. I almost expect it when I see the "text stop" sign.

When you JTK, wouldn’t the cops pull you over anyways once they see your brake lights come on for no reason and a dip in your front car?

Unless you have extremely bad suspension it shouldn't be noticeable to a point where you will be stopped for it. Slow down in 2-3 seconds and you'll be good. It does take some time depending on conditions to lock in a speed even on a normal vehicle.

Absolutely been lasered at night. In fact, I'm a veteran of two laser saves from the V1 alone (no jamming) when it picked up the lidar around a bend: MD Rt 100 about a mile off of Rt 29 in Howard County before coming up the hill where the LEO was waiting to pick people off with lidar. I don't know how the V1 did it but it picked up the laser spatter or something from cars ahead. This happened at night, pretty near the same spot on two different occasions. Now who says laser detection is moot?

Cheers.

They "can" use them in any weather condition, but most don't like to have the window down or door open when its raining or sub-zero+wind.
