Why can you not explain you made the comment?
Okay, I am going to try. Please someone correct me if I am wrong.

"Karen" is a real name but used "fictitiously" when someone does something, or says something which does not make much sense. Lately it has been on many Forums the "thing" to out-call a "Karen" as you see from the photo a few replied above.

So, myself, as a joke, as I saw a "Karen", could be anyone's dumbfounded photo. a few threads above [you saw that right?] I wrote "maybe she knows... she is getting around", again fictitiously.

Hope this makes some sense to you. Let me know...

That is pretty much a pre-crafted email and auto replied for just about every inquiry. Frankly a meaningless email IMHO.
Indeed it is, yet the tone struck is a study in contrast to the data (e.g. end of July) provided online during the ordering process.

I just spoke to Customer Service and was told a new shipment of RL360C's is due in tomorrow and I should expect mine early-mid next week. I ordered on 7/11. They also told me they are shipping out in a "first come, first serve" basis. That's all for now.

I just tried to call with a related query. The automated system not only would not connect me to an agent, but said their waitlist if full so call back later. What time of the morning do they open?

Taking a deposit is fair but not full pop if they cannot deliver the product.

ok from what I understand is if you order over phone it doesn't charge your card til shipped... because its being put in manually... ordering it online it charges to card immediately... that's what I was told by management... hope that helps

Thanks!
I ordered mine before yours, so hopefully it will ship tomorrow based on your update.

I just got off phone and they told me... they wouldn't charge til it shipped... I told Barb the operator... that people on the forum were reporting they got charged right away... see how they lie... thanks for verifing that
Right, we all got charged as soon as we ordered it, not when it shipped.
Sounds like a customer service training gap (either not trained for this situation or the rep in question forgot / misunderstood during training).

I fully expected to be charged the total amount so no worries here. It’ll work itself out.

The proper practice in that situation should be: Escort will submit the authorization on your credit card, it will take off your credit limit, but will not be as a charge on your statement, commonly known as “hold”. When good shipped, Escort will make the “hold” as “Sale”, which in that time will be on your credit card as a line item for the charge. In general, the hold is good for 30 days. After 30 days, Escort can either resubmit it if the order still active, or just simply ”ignore“ it, and your credit card company will release it. This way is such ”hold” across your billing statement, you are not been charged, nor will have any interest implication. By charging the consumer without actually shipping the goods is technically illegal practice.
