Been driving several days now with the new 1.3 firmware on my Redline 360 and have been very happy with the update. K band hits (yes I still have K band in my area) punch through K notch nicely while still minimizing the annoying BSM’s (although GMC still wins that battle as they do come through).

Ka band blows me away. Coming from the Max 360, the range is far superior. Tonight, had a nice save. Ka band alerted, I slowed to speed only to see a HWP had someone pulled over. Ramped up speed and Redline still alerting so thinking the arrow flip still needs work I carry on only to hear ramp up take off and sure enough another HWP on the shoulder a mile down shooting.

Very happy with the new update and thrilled Escort/Cedar are not only listening and pushing updates out quickly but are also on the forum and having conversations. Well done!

Too bad they didn’t wait a bit and launched the Redline 360c with firmware 1.3.

Imagine how different everything would have turned out...........

-Vortex’s unboxing stream wouldn’t have looked so awkward when he shot it with his gun only for the detector to say silent for a few seconds and Vortex making those confused faces. Lol

-TonyPHX’s YouTube videos that had us all dying wouldn’t have come to fruition.

-Much better results from Vortex’s “red barn” test resulting in actual praise and way more purchases from rdforum members for the Redline 360 instead of the constant jabs and negativity.

-Also doubt that the Cedar/Escort crew would have bothered making an appearance to defend its flagship product (glad they are here now though)

- Escort’s “into the wild” man would have saved face and might have turned out to be a YouTube star by now. Poor guy.

-HamSolo would be a proud new Redline 360c owner and actually be content instead of questioning and rethinking past RD purchases. Lol

Better late than never ! I'm a V1 user but having owned the original Escort I still have a soft spot for the albeit changed company. I think it's a good sign that Escort got on top of this, reached out to the community and fixed it. I too wish them well with their new detectors because competition is what drives improvement and we all benefit from that.

LOL! All true man. All true.
Vortex's video that dropped this morning said it all, "You don't get a second chance at a first impression." - He is spot on.

I am going to take a nice long ride with it today and probably gonna go start now just get away from the keyboard. I am digging the R360c now but really enjoy the fact I have a R7 in my collection to work with both. The R7 is enjoyable and for now, still more trusted.

The 1.3 update and my replacement RL360 arrived on the same day. Completed the upload but then CHP seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth. Could not find a LEO anywhere for the nxt 4 days. Yesterday that all changed. Sat, Hwy 17 had 5 cars out there ( all 5 either using Ka band and LIDAR) so my replacement RL360 unit got a workout and it was up to the task on this very tough road. Great range, arrows tracked the threat, audible warning was progressive, false K band were gone. All in all my unit has a very good day. RL360 + WAZE make a great team.

That seems to happen a lot (LEOs disappear when you get a new detector, firmware upgrade, or get a detector back from being serviced).

I am glad your new R360c finally got a good workout, and it sounds encouraging that your R360c was up to the task. I hope the positive news and updates continue for the R360c.

I had to turn on K notch as the culprits where getting threw loud and clear full tilt. My daughter was jumping from the Hondas and couple others. It definitely worked made it quieter.

Dont forget the ridiculous price of this half baked product! $750 + sales tax = $800+
My V1.2 was $511 shipped. My new R7 was $375 shipped. I have owned a Max360c, RL-O and (3) 8500/8500X50s. Love build quality, but all overpriced and underperforming until they decide to update. Maybe Gail will remedy how they do business.

How do you turn on K knock? I have looked everywhere for it and cannot find it. thanks
Hey JBFast, on 1.3 it is in the detector preferences. I just scrolled through until it said K Notch, and then pressed the + sign to toggle the on/off I believe. I will go power it up and do again just to make sure.

I am in advanced mode, not sure if that is the only way it will appear or not because have not used it otherwise. When you come to the K-Notch setting, just press the plus sign. Uploading a quick video now showing what I see.

Look, get your frustration. However, as member of settled and professional TXCTG, this comment is a bit aggressive. Let the folks who did spend the money determine what the value is to them. NONE of the folks who are speaking well of the RL360c now are blind woke fanboys. They have good judgment. And if something goes haywire they will be the first to let everyone know. If you want to join them in the eval, get one on the back order list.

In the end, as a TXCTG member of good standing, Gail should listen to what you have to say. You spent a bunch of cash with them over time. Sometimes being blunt instrument helps.

Thanks for the information, I know it was not In the radar settings on the app.
Yes, they have not added a K Notch toggle to the application yet. Hopefully will be in the next version so you can avoid having to configure in the detector itself.
