I just got back home from testing the Redline 360c with the new update (fw 1.3) and I can confirm that it did the trick! Rampup and arrows now work as intended. :)

I tested it against a K band speed sign in both directions and compared it to the Max 360c, Max 360, R7, V1 Gen1, & V1 Gen2 to get some baselines. I also tested low and high mounts on the windshield. I gotta review all the footage to refresh my memory on all the details and I'll post more info and videos tonight or tomorrow once it's all ready, but in short, the RL 360c now finally behaves properly. Thank goodness...

Update: Here's the test passes with the RL360c. The arrows do bounce a bit and aren't perfect, but other detectors had some issues too. Either way, the rampup is fine and the arrows finally flip now.

Turn down your volume. It's over a minute of K band screaming, haha.

Still working on the full 1.3 video. :)

It's nice to see Escort providing updates this quickly after just launching the detector. Needless to say, this hasn't been the case in the past. Withe Radenso coming-on strong later this year, Escort needs to get their flagship detector right. It's amazing what competition does to motivate people/companies.

Excellent Vortex! This means it might end up being one of the best out there!

@Vortex thanks for the quick test! Any idea when you might have the opportunity to test/verify the other enhancements listed in the below post? Specifically the Auto JTK?

Is the settings override issue fixed too?

Do you plan to Red Barn it one more time?

It was nice to see the first update quickly, but this was imperative given how it launched. Lets see how other updates are delivered.

Not in the immediate future. I generally don’t devote that level of time and energy for a firmware update.

Agreed. Talk is nice but I'd rather see action and results.

Given the significant improvements with Version 1.3, you might consider making an exception for this update. I don't know that I have ever done a firmware update prior to this that made such a striking improvement.

@ferius is out of town for a little while. @meismyname, are you available?

Testing is hard to do while maintaining social distancing...

@Vortex , First of all, HUGE THANKS for all you do for the CM enthusiast. Now, my quick observation. I'm sure you noticed this too, your arrow performance seemed to be degraded when you had the RL360c mounted up high near centerline. Do you agree and attribute this to the possibility of interference from the electronics behind the rear-view mirror, or it's proximity to the housing which is prohibiting radar saturation at the horns? Also, It also looks like you're in SpecFR2 mode? Have you any concerns about reports of degraded performance vs SpecFR1?

Cheers mate.

You could always send it down to TX, you know... ;)
