Hi Everyone,

As Gail mentioned in her intro post (https://www.rdforum.org/threads/101691/), I’m the Chief Technology Officer at Cedar Electronics, maker of Escort and Cobra radar detectors. I have been designing radar detectors at Cincinnati Microwave, Escort Inc, and Cedar Electronics for over 28 years. I am here to help you get answers to technical questions, problems, and concerns. Our ultimate goal is to make better detectors, and with your help and feedback, I believe that we can.

Joe Sherbondy has also joined the forum to help answer many of the questions that come up. For those of you who don’t know, Joe is the product manager for all radar products, and he will be able to answer many of your product questions and concerns. By the way, we have a software update for the Redline 360C coming tomorrow. We encourage you to check it out and provide feedback. One advantage of a software defined radio design is that it is easy to reconfigure, add new features, and continue to improve overall performance. John, it is great to see you here. I am getting a replacement redline apparently this week and look forward to trying the new firmware. I hope you will seriously consider the inputs from this forum. I saw a user request of Joe that he would like to see the bluetooth API's opened up to third party apps. That is a great example of a modern, open approach that the community would love!

I have owned many Escort and Passport radar detectors dating back to around 1980, and I currently own a Max360c and several other brands of radar detectors that I actively use. The majority of us are here to give you straight forward and honest feedback which will hopefully assist you and your company. Thanks for joining the RDF.

How soon will Escort be notifying the FCC that the Redline 360c and Max 3 are available for sale and that the short term confidentiality for the internal pictures is over? I still don't see the internal pictures for either model on the FCC website.
