Loud Enough and Extra Mounts

Hi,

I look forward to getting Theia when it’s released. Seems like a lot of thought and effort from many different perspectives has been focused on making a great product at launch. I have two requests that don’t seem to be frequently discussed.

Please make Theia LOUD. I am over 65 and may be losing my hearing; my wife claims I never hear what she says. In any case, I drive a 1994 Miata convertible with an aftermarket supercharger, a 2 1/2 inch diameter exhaust and a subwoofer in the trunk. My STI Magnum can get my attention, but my R7 (even with updated tones) is often only noticed when I look at it’s display. My wife’s supercharged Mini Cooper convertible offers a similar sound-alert-hostile environment. Loud with indestructible speaker is what I want. Others can use the hundred-step real volume knob to turn Theia down.

Please offer extra mounting kits available for purchase at the same time Theia is released. While I would like to have a Theia dedicated to each car I drive, it seems likely I’ll be moving one Theia from car to car. Dialing in optimal positioning/mounting and wiring will take some time and it would be great to leave an “adjusted” mount in each car. Just hop in, plug in Theia, and go. I”ll want at least four mounts.

Keep in mind, this is our first engineered in-house radar detector. The speaker on Theia will be able to be much louder.

I drive with my windows down alot or play music alot so Im for a louder speaker as well, my r7 mumbles compared to other detectors ive had.

The best thing that could happen is the ability to lower my music so I can hear the tone. Another brand I'm using at the moment with an app is doing this and yep, great idea. My car is not loud but the music can be. My R7 was hard to hear at times too since it does not have the ability to control the music. Reads like it might be louder though so who knows, maybe it will indeed be plenty on its own. Time will tell.

That's what the built in equalizer is for!

As you can see in my avatar I also have a Miata that has been custom tuned by Dynotronics and I use an earbud plugged into the R3 that works perfectly.

Ive hooked up detectors to the stereo systems for the hell of it before, talk about a loud BEEEEEPPP!!

I have an escort and can't hear it worth a damn.....but I too have a custom system installed with the 360.3 dsp/class AB amps/Damp for custom 12 inch sub in my F150..... so a nice loud speaker or attachable arms to smack me while i'm driving would be awesome...

We already offer the ability to purchase additional mounts with our current detectors, we aren’t changing that with Theia.
