Houston we have an update....1.3 is in the house...Will put it through a few paces in a couple of hours....

Reset to default to see any changes.....Definitely KA default is now segs 2,5,8 only....I changed back to full KA spectrum for now....New menu item K notch was default off as we were told....I left off cause I definitely will never handicap K band detection in anyway due to my threats ranging from 23.970 all the way to 24.208....

I've been out of the Escort loop for a bit, how are you integrating that with your head unit?
Magic...... LOL

Ahh, found it. Now if only I could set this up with CarPlay or Android Auto.
That's the magic cord.

Would you please put your MAX 360c in Meter Mode/Spec and let us know what frequencies it is alerting to from the Compustar alarm system?
This does not happen when the detector is plugged into the cigarette lighter smart cord. Oy when plugged into the hardwire smart cord and/or the Maestro hard wire cable. My Redline Ex has never went off due to being plugged into either hardwire cord if that is ant help?

Hi everyone, as Gail mentioned in her intro post (https://www.rdforum.org/threads/101691/), I’m the Product Manager for Radar at Escort, and I’m happy to share some Redline 360c updates we’ve been working on based directly on your feedback.

We’ve heard from many of you about what you liked in the new product and also what you wanted to be added, and I want you to know that we appreciate everything you’re contributed. We are listening and will continue to ask for, and take action, on your feedback.

Based on what you’ve told us, we are releasing new firmware tomorrow morning, Tuesday, July 7th. As you know, our Redline 360c is a connected product, and because this platform heavily leverages software, it enables us to easily provide Wi-Fi firmware updates remotely.

I have listed below the product enhancements and new features which we believe will deliver an even better experience. Included in this release are:

Enhancements
  • Better overall sensitivity and response time
  • Faster directional arrow response time
  • Increased rear antenna detection performance and sensitivity
  • Ramp up for K band that is more progressive and linear
  • Reduced random false alerts with laser detection
  • AutoNoX false alerts with X band has been resolved
New Features
  • Added Jam-To-Kill laser jamming feature for ZR5 and ZW5 laser shifters
  • Added Ka Narrows as default to improve response time: improved performance with Ka Narrows (2,5,8) over wide band sweep (default mode now)
  • Added Dragon Eye laser tester detection
  • Added an additional K band filter option, default off (will be added soon to Escort Live)
How to Get the Update
If you are taking advantage of the Wi-Fi connection in your vehicle or have access to Wi-Fi, you will be prompted for the update once it becomes available. If you are not able to access Wi-Fi, you can connect your Redline 360c to your computer via USB (https://www.escortradar.com/pages/update-your-device). There are two different links on the page depending on if you are using Windows or Mac OS.

Keep the Feedback Coming
As I mentioned, we’re eager to hear more from you. We are working on additional enhancements based on feedback here in the forum which will be part of a future release for firmware.

Feel free to message me here in the forum and I will be happy to interact via e-mail for support or questions as well. You can email ([email protected]) and I’ll personally review the emails. Thanks

Joe
I had mentioned that my redline 360c was just updated and it was still showing the back arrow when radar was in front of me! Well today radar was behind me, caught up to me and passed me. s still indicated he was behind me. I turned into a gas station and it was still indicating it was behind me! The arrows went off for a split second came on for about 2 seconds indicating the radar was behind me again and then shutoff.

That sounds almost like your front horn isn’t even working and just the back is picking things up.

Just wanted to clarify the New Auto Mode referenced Escort's Redline 360c intro video.
1. Is 55+ mph still the threshold speed for Auto Mode to apply maximum K & X pass-through (minimum filters)?
2. Is there anything else changed from prior model's Auto Mode we should be aware of either in this model itself or its recent firmware update?

I ask this because there have been a couple of tests here of Auto Mode at different speeds (one at 35 mph and another at 55-60 mph) with the differing results posted. It would be helpful to know at what speeds the testing parameters could be expected to change so there is a more accurate understanding of Auto Mode results. I have found Auto to be very useful where I drive but many still hesitate to use because of a lack of more info on how and at what speeds it works.

Anything you can do to help owners better understand the parameters of Auto Mode would be greatly appreciated, similar to the explanation/parameter specificity that Cedar/Escort provided on how the new K-Notch was intended to work . . . "When K Notch is enabled only very strong signals between 24.190 - 24.210 GHz are alerted to". . . . That specific knowledge was very helpful to everyone in deciding whether to engage it, and what to expect when they did.
