The MAX 3 has newer hardware (antenna) than the M360c. The jury is still out on the MAX 3's ability to filter BSM's vs the MAX 360c. Initial reports indicate it is fairly good, but that is a hard one to test.

As indicated above, MAX 3 has no wifi or arrows as features. Also, the new RL360c not only has new hardware (antenna & filters) but it is also built on a completely new SDR (software defined radio) platform.

I just called Escort twice to ask a question, the first time was 11:15 A.M. today and a pre-recorded message said they were closed for training and would be open at 10:30 A.M. today, the second time I called at 11:30 A.M. today a message said they were closed today and call back tomorrow then it disconnected me. This is not the first time this has happened to me with Escort does anyone know why they do this?

Hate to say this, but I've recently found this to be the case too. I hit 2 to get into the Customer Support queue and then get a message saying that they are supporting other customers and to call back in a few weeks. Then I get disconnected. I've been trying to get through daily for a couple of weeks and finally gave up. However, I was able to contact Joe @ Cedar and he was responsive. But for the general customer, their Customer Service is well below the mark at this point in time. :-(

I get that but think about the updates you get from Apple for example or ALP. Imagine if ALP treated their customers that way. I received a free update that improves my jammers from them. There is a reason why they are the best. I agree force a hardware change when it’s not possible via firmware but at the end of the day there is a fine line.

Well, everyone gets free updates. What makes ALP the best, is the fact, that they are really good at JTG with every laser encounter. Their TX Sensor really made the system even better. TX Sensor is a new product (not firmware) that you have to pay for. Just my two cents, I'm done.

@JSherbondy Can you explain why the Max 3 outperforms the higher priced Max360C in real world testing?

The Max 360c is still an excellent detector. It doesn't have the longest range but it make up for it with all the other things it does very well and still gives you plenty of time to slow down.

I'm running the RL360C and seems to be a solid unit, Escort would be miles ahead to open the API to allow use with other 3Rd Party Phone Apps. That would take it to the next level.

Any-word on 1.5 FW?

Yes, but they don't want anyone else fooling with the features of the detector. They accurately said that in one of their early videos when they joined RD Form.
