Hi Joe. Who/how is the best way to contact you folks for a Max 360c issue?

Good more Joe. I want to thank you guys & gails, for the timely 1.4 firmware this morning. I was curious to know, what does the update address? I have notice that 1.4 doesn't address arrow functionality in regards to MRCD/MRCT detection. Will this also be addressed in future? Also, thanks to you and Gail for your continued participation on RDF.
Soul Patch - the update addressed:
  • Arrow response time improved
  • Improved signal processing on all bands. For situations where a single strong signal was showing up as multiple signals.
  • Spec meter available
I will check on MRCD signals.

Thanks a lot Joe and the Escort team! Can't wait to try fw 1.4 on my RL 360c.

Wondering if anyone sent Joe / Escort the details / video of the auto lockout 'issue' posted in a video here a couple of weeks ago?
Also how about the question about Auto sensitivity being lower than expected ('Auto' mode achieving a maximum of ~66% of 'Highway' mode sensitivity even at highway speeds)...

Otherwise I can try to send them an email tonight / tomorrow if I get a chance.

Welcome to RDF Joe. Its great to have Escort in here participating. This is a group of users of all brands and experience levels. If Escort continues with its latest support performances then you'll have plenty of happy brand followers. Hope to read of more updates to the fine tuning of this great RL360c.

Hey there Mr. Joe. Are there any plans for the ZR5s to announce which gun they are being targeted with?

Hi Joe. Thanks for the 1.4 firmware update and especially for engaging and listening. I can see already how much 1.4 is improving an already outstanding R360c....so thanks from a happy R360c owner.

I'd like to also offer a suggestion on connectivity, which I understand is a key focus for Cedar
Improve wifi structure. If you look at forum comments over the past few years, you will see all the wifi issues that users are dealing with. Escort makes product for CARS. If cars have 5g WIFI, so should Escort. Connectivity should "enhance"...not denigrate or complicate the user experience. Another is wifi phone hotspots. Escort RD’s will connect automatically to Android phone hotspots, but not iPhones. I realize the ecosystems are different, but the goal should be a similar user experience.
The purpose of my comments is bring forth ideas that will make the user experience better.
Thanks for listening.

Just wanted to say thank you to @JSherbondy and call out the responsiveness. I sent a message in to radar feedback and heard back directly from Joe. I think this really speaks well of the engagement from Joe and Escort. Thank you! It is nice to know you are listening and engaging!

@JSherbondy Can you explain why the Max 3 outperforms the higher priced Max360C in real world testing?

Just my humble opinion, it's what we call progress...
It's a newer model than the Max360C. What's wrong with better performance at a lower price? It happens with virtually all technology products. Do you prefer that we settle for no technology progress and keeping prices high?

I get that you bought your Max360C at a higher price, but that detector also has some features that the Max 3 doesn't such as:

- Multiple antennas and arrow indicators
- Wifi updates
- Probably something else that I can't think of off the top of my head,

Regardless, I'm all for them upping the bar at a lower price-point....

My point is that should be reflected on their website is all I’m saying. If one didn’t know from the comparison chart one would think the higher priced unit would be better.

Maybe marketing has a plan to release the Max360cGen2 someday with upgraded programming/hardware to take advantage of the gains now found in it's newest models, and create another revenue source.
Better profit plan than giving away improvements with just firmware updates.

Really? Your pockets must be deeper than mine. I can’t believe anyone on here would want to keep paying when a firmware update could fix the problem.

Nope, I wouldn't fall for it.
Just saying that's a common business practice, release the next model of any electronics for the next best step in performance.
How many times do your laptops, TV's X Box etc actually send you a free firmware update that actually IMPROVES the performance of the device above the original intended design.
It's like getting a firmware update for your Mustang that adds 30 hp and .2 sec off the quarter out of the goodness of their hearts because a Charger beat it bny .1 sec in a Car and Driver test.

Radar detectors arte somewhat more rare as consumer products in this regard, actually addressing performance deficiencies compared to others, as well as bugs fixes with free updates.

That's how business works. Everybody wants the shiny new thing. There's money with a new product, no money with a firmware update. That's just how it is!

I get that but think about the updates you get from Apple for example or ALP. Imagine if ALP treated their customers that way. I received a free update that improves my jammers from them. There is a reason why they are the best. I agree force a hardware change when it’s not possible via firmware but at the end of the day there is a fine line.

Back in da day, quality sold products. You bought the best because it was better than the rest. It was like "You own a RD- I own an Escort" type a thing. Escort was the best out there. Now Engineers have to work harder to sell their ideas. Being the best is harder these days because everyone wants all the toys, bells, and whistles and we want to pay nothing for them. We have been spoiled in the modern electronics age.
