Soul Patch - the update addressed:Good more Joe. I want to thank you guys & gails, for the timely 1.4 firmware this morning. I was curious to know, what does the update address? I have notice that 1.4 doesn't address arrow functionality in regards to MRCD/MRCT detection. Will this also be addressed in future? Also, thanks to you and Gail for your continued participation on RDF.
The purpose of my comments is bring forth ideas that will make the user experience better.Improve wifi structure. If you look at forum comments over the past few years, you will see all the wifi issues that users are dealing with. Escort makes product for CARS. If cars have 5g WIFI, so should Escort. Connectivity should "enhance"...not denigrate or complicate the user experience. Another is wifi phone hotspots. Escort RD’s will connect automatically to Android phone hotspots, but not iPhones. I realize the ecosystems are different, but the goal should be a similar user experience.
My point is that should be reflected on their website is all I’m saying. If one didn’t know from the comparison chart one would think the higher priced unit would be better.Just my humble opinion, it's what we call progress...
It's a newer model than the Max360C. What's wrong with better performance at a lower price? It happens with virtually all technology products. Do you prefer that we settle for no technology progress and keeping prices high?
I get that you bought your Max360C at a higher price, but that detector also has some features that the Max 3 doesn't such as:
- Multiple antennas and arrow indicators
- Wifi updates
- Probably something else that I can't think of off the top of my head,
Regardless, I'm all for them upping the bar at a lower price-point....
Really? Your pockets must be deeper than mine. I can’t believe anyone on here would want to keep paying when a firmware update could fix the problem.Maybe marketing has a plan to release the Max360cGen2 someday with upgraded programming/hardware to take advantage of the gains now found in it's newest models, and create another revenue source.
Better profit plan than giving away improvements with just firmware updates.
Nope, I wouldn't fall for it.Really? Your pockets must be deeper than mine. I can’t believe anyone on here would want to keep paying when a firmware update could fix the problem.
That's how business works. Everybody wants the shiny new thing. There's money with a new product, no money with a firmware update. That's just how it is!Really? Your pockets must be deeper than mine. I get that but think about the updates you get from Apple for example or ALP. Imagine if ALP treated their customers that way. I received a free update that improves my jammers from them. There is a reason why they are the best. I agree force a hardware change when it’s not possible via firmware but at the end of the day there is a fine line. That's how business works.
