Hi Gail,A lot has happened in the past few weeks (let alone what’s happened in the world these past few months) and I decided that I should take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Gail Babitt and I am the CEO of Cedar Electronics, the parent company of our Escort and Cobra brands.
The entire team here at Cedar recognizes that this forum is truly a great place to discuss, learn, and share info about radar detectors. You are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate radar detection individuals, and as such, I want to be a part of and contribute to the community.
We’ve been overwhelmed with the positive response to our Redline 360c launch, and it’s been one of our best launches ever – so a big thank you to all of you that have contributed on the forum. We have heard from so many of you, and I want you to know that we are listening to your feedback. More importantly, we are taking action based on your comments on how to keep improving!
You might notice that as of today, a few folks from my team have joined the forum. Allow me to introduce:
Of course, I will also be on the forum. We are all car enthusiasts who love driving, and we are here to listen and learn from radar enthusiasts like you.
- Joe Sherbondy, our Product Manager for Radar. He will be here to help provide feedback on enhancements and updates to our existing products. He will also provide information when new products are launched.
- John Kuhn, our Chief Technology Officer. John will be here to engage with you on our technology.
We all have the same goal in mind, to ensure radar detectors continue to raise the bar. Stay tuned as we continue to share updates in the Escort and Cobra threads. Personally, I look forward to interacting with all of you on the forum.
I purchased the MAX 3 at my local Best Buy this past Sunday, 07/26/20. This unit is running 1.1 firmware. Spent no fewer than 4 call attempts into Escort yesterday to no avail. Here’s my 2 part question that I hope you can please answer for me. When do you anticipate 1.2 firmware update to be released fixing the AUTO sensitivity and ramp up issues and second, how do you currently notify your (non-wi-Fi) unit customers/users of the most current firmware version available? Thank you in advance for your prompt response to my questions.
