A lot has happened in the past few weeks (let alone what’s happened in the world these past few months) and I decided that I should take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Gail Babitt and I am the CEO of Cedar Electronics, the parent company of our Escort and Cobra brands.

The entire team here at Cedar recognizes that this forum is truly a great place to discuss, learn, and share info about radar detectors. You are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate radar detection individuals, and as such, I want to be a part of and contribute to the community.

We’ve been overwhelmed with the positive response to our Redline 360c launch, and it’s been one of our best launches ever – so a big thank you to all of you that have contributed on the forum. We have heard from so many of you, and I want you to know that we are listening to your feedback. More importantly, we are taking action based on your comments on how to keep improving!

You might notice that as of today, a few folks from my team have joined the forum. Allow me to introduce:
  • Joe Sherbondy, our Product Manager for Radar. He will be here to help provide feedback on enhancements and updates to our existing products. He will also provide information when new products are launched.
  • John Kuhn, our Chief Technology Officer. John will be here to engage with you on our technology.
Of course, I will also be on the forum. We are all car enthusiasts who love driving, and we are here to listen and learn from radar enthusiasts like you.

We all have the same goal in mind, to ensure radar detectors continue to raise the bar. Stay tuned as we continue to share updates in the Escort and Cobra threads. Personally, I look forward to interacting with all of you on the forum.

Regards,
Gail

Welcome and buckle up!

Mind me asking what type of car you drive being a car enthusiast yourself?

Also can you elaborate further on how Cedar utilizes AI in their products as there seems to be differing opinions on the subject.

Do you have an update on the firmware update for the R360c?

I was informed possibly today, but almost certainly this week if not out there today.

Thanks for joining the forum and addressing the issues we are having.

The people on the phone have been great.

I was directed to the other Thread from Joe that said tomorrow! Did not see that one first.

Attacking a Manufacturer or Retailer is not appreciated. While all products have their pros and cons, you should appreciate a manufacturer is taking their time to listen and hopefully resolve any issues. This is NOT how we welcome new users to RDF.

Whatever happened to Larry? I really liked him...

Nice to meet you though. I look forward to hearing what you guys have to say and hope your interaction with the community can be as helpful as it has been in the past until it vanished...
