Are the local LEOs still using X-band in this area? Coming back through here today, two LEOs were assisting a motorist and the V1G1 was pegged.

It is about a 50/50 mix of K and Ka in south eastern Mass and i would assume the Cape too. I see K in Falmouth when visiting my mother inlaw.

I haven't seen X since the 90s

Follow Up: @WJS what kind of car was the cruiser?

I searched Bourne Police Facebook page, and all I could find was a couple Stalkers (one antenna, one DSR 2x) and a 35.5 Raptor RP-1, all seem to be appearing in Explorers.

I’ll check my dash cam. Maybe it caught it.

Here's the link to the video and a screen-grab. My mistake; I thought there were two LEOs when I passed but I was more focused on the coming merge.

I have never seen X-band used here on the Cape. Most dept run either K or Ka, it is a 50/50 that even includes the MASP, you never know what they are going to running.

That being said most of my RD's I have run with X-off but when the 360 had the 'sleeping' issues I turned it back on to catch every signal possible and have never seen it used.

The locals in the area in the map above typically run 35.5 or 34.7....but weighted more toward the 35.5.

X band is 10.500-10.550 GHz. As unlikely as X band is (outside of OH or NJ), it's even more unlikely to be out of tune. I think this was just a well timed false if anything.

No way this was legit, especially given 10.559. X band falses are pretty common. Perhaps there's a door opener in the area.

There is something on a pole on the left side of the intersection. Perhaps a traffic sensor detecting oncoming traffic to switch the light. it’s difficult to tell from the video.
