So for those of you who use Waze, Highway Radar, and JBV1, which app do you have on your screen?

I’m really confused on how all 3 apps work together. I’d like to just pull up Waze and get all alerts on that screen.

I have a Dynavin N7-Pro in my e39 so I run waze on it, my phone is tethered and bluetooth connected so the phone is running Highway Radar with waze.com. Highway Radar sent an alert via Waze.com almost 5 miles away before I even saw it on the waze screen. V1G2 started alerting to Ka at about 2 miles out and I was running full logic mode. multiple bogies on V1G2 and highway radar and waze showed both LEO's about 1/2 a mile apart. Definitely plenty of time to back down from my low level flying to 75mph without touching the brakes.
If I need to run silent at night lights out on V1G2 I'll run JBV1 at night and turn off the V1G2 display via JBV1.
Jamming on to the canadian border Highway Radar alerted me to a State Helicopter about 5 miles out. Pretty cool to see their traffic pattern. We don't use aircraft for speed monitoring much in the Mitten State but it was still pretty cool to see.
I use to in the old days run with a transponder detector that only detected low and slow flying aircraft, I think it was made by Electrolert, makers of the old fuzz buster. It saved my butt several times across Nebraska and Iowa running triple digits back in the 80's.
80's to 90's we use to run with scanners, Escorts, LidaTech jammers and cb's as well as tail light switches to turn off specif lights or turn off brake lights, being a highway scofflaw at it's finest.

Does JBV1 share alerts like Escort Live does with regards to radar and lidar?

I run JBV1 and Waze both on my Android. However, since you have Apple Car Play I think I would continue to run Waze there and JBV1 on your Android.

but doesn't JBV1 need waze to get all the proper alerts?

That's how I run mine as well. Waze through Apple CarPlay and JBV1 on my Android with WazeSabre plugin.

It does that on its very own! I run Waze on my CarPlay and JBV1 on my Android.

Not at all. A phone doesn't need Waze installed at all for JBV1 to perform fully. They are not connected. BTW, I responded to your PM a few minutes ago. :)

If you are using the Sabre plug-in on the android phone, why even use a separate phone to run Waze? Or is the iPhone used for strictly navigation purposes?

Navigation is the only reason I run Waze anymore.

WRT to running it on a separate phone, I would imagine that is because they also want to use Waze for Navigation but thorough Apple CarPlay.

BUT you should run Waze with JBV1 so you can report leos, because if no-one reports, waze and JBV1, will lose its effectiveness!

Yes, reporting is key to a continued level of quality of reports. Us detector/countermeasure users are generally more observant about LEO behaviors.

I run VVaze on my iPhone and display that on CarPlay. I have JBV1 on the Android and that phone is mounted next to my car’s infotainment screen. I do not run VVaze or HR on the Android since JBV1 is already providing the same info.

I report on LEO sightings on the iPhone and sometimes throuth the WzSabre plugin too.

Are LEO sightings that are reported through JBV1 (with WzSabre installed) not reported to Waze?

That’s a great question. I only report on Waze through my infotainment screen

You would think so, but something like that probably wouldn't be allowed so it can't work like that. :)

Sabre does report to Waze and you do not have to have a Waze account or even have the app installed on your device. You get the ability to provide thumbs up or down as well.
