Correct, @asleeper.

@beo111 the VPR (center) head fires against all guns.

Make sure you get your install tested! This is paramount. A couple of degrees will change your results and the only real way to ensure its performance is to test.

Thanks so much. Hopefully someone here in Wisconsin has a gun and can help me out!

Just to help to (hopefully....) clear up the differences with the heads...

Standard G1 & G2 Heads are Revive & Transmit. Each head will cover an area 18" Radius from the Receive Diode in the head.
IIRC spacing between two of these should be something around 24"-30" and they should be placed more than 12" above the ground plane if possible.

VPR Head is a Transmit Only head. It's normally placed centrally between two of the G1/G2 Heads (front of vehicle) and paired with one or more (depending on coverage needs for the rear of vehicles).

Please note that this is just to be used as a Starting Point for Head Mounting. All installations will need to be tested (and adjusted as needed) to optimize performance. Also, this is just from memory, so please do your due diligence and research.

Thanks for your input. I'm learning more as everyone jumps in with information!

We're all here trying to help each other and there are several here that have Way More Knowledge on the subjects than I do, but I still try to help whenever I feel that I can.

Hey guys. I can't play games anymore with just having a radar detector. I know that I need laser jammers for that ultimate protection so I'm ready now.

I purchased the Escort ZW5's in November 2019 when they were having a sale, but I never installed them, or even opened the package. I got it because it was on sale, but I haven't heard that it was one of the best. I actually didn't install it because it was too cold outside and I don't have a garage so I was going to do it in the spring when it got nice. During this time, I've been reading reviews on other jammers and I believe that TMG's are better than Escort laser jammers? Well I sold the ZW5's and saw some videos on the TMG's and it seems amazing! I'm looking to get them because I was hit with laser here in Wisconsin in the new area I moved into and I need that protection.

I have a 2015 Toyota Rav4 and need to know how many heads would I need. I want to make the proper purchase the first time so any input is greatly appreciated. My radar detector is a Uniden R7.
TMG works great for me, here is a video to prove it. Had a army buddy of mine with me today so here is the TMG at work. I have had mine for about a year now, since installed no PTs and plenty or warning with the range. I have two on the front and one in the rear of my vehicle.

Not to kill your Video, but ?!?! Lost too........

For a R series not to "typically" not to see a Lidar hit.. doesn't like a VPR unit, "Variable P Rate"... poor location to alert if too high and/ or Tint.... and only a single Detector unit/Brand that is near best too, not a V1Gen either 1 vs 2..but will say limited in one I directly know a Gen2 will not alert to..... so? please [email protected]sharkravinmad
