Who was the vendor who created the two weeks meme?
In the V1 forums go back a year and read the 2 bazillion posts wondering when Valentine will resume production of detectors.
Valentine had posted on their website I believe and answered phone calls with the response of 2 weeks untill the parts come in. It was ongoing for months.
Poor V1 fans got flamed hard many months for it.
Hopefully the Gen 2 is easing those hard days of yore.

Feature Request:
If Uniden can't keep fast K Band reaction times with new heavier K Filtering and TSF, please offer the filtering as in 129.129 as the LOW setting and the new firmware K Filter as High setting.
Like the Pro M TSRej or K Filter Level 0-9 on city(auto) modes.
We can then dial in our desired BSM filtering levels to suit individual tastes and areas.
👍👍👍👍👍

There wasn't really any scorn directed at V1 fans because they weren't making up "two weeks", it was VR that was telling them "two weeks". And that went on for almost a year. That being said,

Hey! Beta People who are testing this....

IF.... the beta software hasn't incorporated the R3's Dark Mode (Time / GPS) setable function, can you PLEASE ask Uniden to add it????

The reason it's needed is for those of us that have our R7 mounted high, the R7's Light Sensor is USELESS..... , so having the R3's Dark Mode as an Optional Way to setup the R7 would be Very Helpful.

Thanks!
Now back to your regularly scheduled programing..........

Hmmmm Makes me wonder if yhe Government Alarmists were reading our Valentine Thread on TWO WEEKS.

We were TOLD just Two Weeks to have to imprison in place cowering in a corner in our homes losiing our buss's, not seeing our friends, cutting out hugging the non-existent waitresses
... sigh.

IT HAS BEEN 6 Freakin' MONTHS

So I sm thinking that same Gov't non-elected
Bureacrat must have worked for VALENTINE
previously ... says Benzr in purple sarcastic text.

180 days vs 14.

I just hope we get a stable release with updated filtering a few weeks before Theia drops. I want every manufacturer: Escort, Valentine, and Uniden to have their best ready for a shootout. Uniden's filtering is the one thing lagging way behind the others. It's the oldest, but should still be updateable in this regard.

Bandaid fixes like reducing sensitivity and notch filters need to be eliminated whenever possible. Phenomenal range means nothing if you can't stand the constant racket of false alerts.

I have the R7 light sensor issue mounted up high behind tint.
However the R3 method was a fail too.
Up north the hours allowed for changing brightness were useless.
Can't leave it bright long enough in summer, or dark long enough in winter.
I've accepted manual adjustment on every brand I own.
They all fail this set-up.
LOL.

30% is not bad. Bit more noisy than city. The good news, at “30%” you get more range On the street than “30%” of full street range at 100%. Same for city, which is like 18% if memory serves me. Get more street range distance than 18% of 100%... :)
I did try 40% but got some falses and went back to City. May try the 30 but in city BSM falses are almost completely eliminated for me while still getting usable range.

Yes, the menu options for the R3 Auto Dark Mode were limited. It sure would be nice if within the Expert Menu of the R7's new firmware if there was a R3's Auto Dark Mode type configurator with unlimited Start/Stop Time settings.
