The RL 360c should not have been released with the crappy firmware it has right now. All you get is a lot of bad reviews & a boat load of pissed off customers. At $749 each, if customers start returning them maybe they will learn not to pull this stunt again. But I don't think they will ever learn not to do this. It's in their DNA.

I posted in the other thread, but I thought I'd follow up to my original post. I returned my Redline 360c and received my refund a day later. It just had way too many issues. I'm going to hold out for Theia.

I don't blame you and you can always repurchase if it lives up to what Escort says it is.

They did this exact same thing with the launch of the Max in May of 2013. Nothing has changed with them and I doubt it ever will as they are under severe pressure from Private Equity firms to reduce costs and increase revenue.

I was driving west, the arrow was pointing to the south not the direction I was going until I turned left at the light then the arrow was pointing in the direction I was traveling.
Yeah, I think you missed something. The side arrows should work together, they can't just point left or just right. So either you didn't notice the right arrow was also lit or you have a defective detector.

And it took Escort over two years to release firmware for the MAX. By then I had given up on Escort and moved on to a different radar detector. Not sure why people seem to think the Redline360 will be 'fixed' anytime soon. Escort's track record isn't exactly stellar in this regard.

Just got off the phone with Escort customer service this is what they are doing.
All Red Line 360c money back windows have been extended to July 31. A update is coming very soon but I could not get a time line on the update. So for me I will hold on to my detector & see how good it is after the update. Till the end of July I have nothing to lose.

It would be nice if Escort would make this statement publicly. Anyone have any idea if they have said this on their forum, at least?

Well said. The marketing was definitely top notch. As so many members have pointed out here there are a lot of uninformed consumers, and in regards to this purchase, I was very much one of them. I was however happy with my Max 360c, but wow, this one needs some fixes. SOON.

My thoughts on Radenso are that they are clearly developing it with a measure twice, cut once style. They could produce a small allotment just to satisfy the enthusiastic buyers and essentially hold-off on a public product launch. Radenso could then use the results of that soft-launch to refine any obvious detractors to the product, then launch publicly with a built-in fan base who will help with word of mouth as well. Who knows? A popular launch propelled by a fan base could boost them to what? Sky is the limit because as time goes on, and sales go up the price to manufacture and sell that product will go down. And their marketing costs will decrease because they will have the strongest brand name possible.

I keep thinking of how Escort could have had youtube videos of people loving the R360c instead of negative experiences, less than stunning reviews, and parody. : ) All they had to do was come close to their claims. That product should have never gone out the door, and if I was an investor in Escort I would have rolled heads. Somebody is asleep at the wheel.

Radenso by comparison is not asleep. They have a strong leadership team. When you think of Radenso, you immediately think of Jon and Mindi. When I think of Escort, I think of the three guys that Vortex interviewed and the trio (same I think) on their Redline launch webinar, but for the life of me, I could not tell you their names.

Fixing Escort, well, they should swallow some pride, license some AI tech, and launch something epic, something that works, and put a face to a name.
ACTUALLY I agee with you. greeeeat points btw.

Yes it would be RICH (pun intended) if Escort got a REAL "" AI "" and had to pay @Jon at Radenso
ROYALTIES 😁😁😮😮😇😇 !!

What Lawsuit will be their new catchphrase... ... ..... smile

Just sayin'

Exactly. They may even see their suit as leverage to try to end up at a licensing agreement. Clearly Escort considers their future at risk given the change afoot.
