I hate paying Full price to be a beta tester.
2 companies that come to mind.

How hard would it have been to get 10 or 20 units out with NDA’s to catch some of these embarrassing short comings.
Now they have to deal with the bad PR.

Like I’ve stated before. “Some ask us.... others tell us”

I've never owned any Escort, Bel, or Cobra detector. And, I'll say in its current form, the R360 is way overpriced. However, if they can fix the arrow flip, the dropping of signals/ramp up, the rear arrow deficiency, and take AI out of their talking points, it would be a top tier detector. But, then it would be closer to a $500-$600 detector. In @Vortex testing, the range was acceptable most of the time.
I don't hate Escort. I just want them to deliver what they promise, and don't promise what they can't deliver. Like I said before, having the big 4 companies all with a top tier detector, is good for everyone.
I agree with everything you said. I want them to deliver on what they claim this detector can do. For as price is concerned I say it should not go beyond $550.00 at most.

instead of basing on he said, she said.
or saw a youtube videos with problems/issues.
if someone bought a new car that is a lemon, does this mean my new car is also a lemon even if i dont have any problems with my car?

I understand where you're coming from but there's enough lemons here to supply Tropicana for a year dude.
If was a car then time for a recall. Based on Percentages and those affected.

I agree with you that having multiple people all conduct tests is important just to make sure I didn't have a lemon. Ideally my detector's performance should be representative of what everyone else will experience too. Otherwise who cares?

Now that said, every single other person I've seen so far who has tested their RL360c has reported the same issues. I don't think I've seen a single person say their arrows and rampup works properly.

The question should be how many good ones are there... Are there any without an issue...

Using that logic, the issues won't be "real/true" to you until you experience them for yourself. But, then that same logic can be turned back around on you.

Most of these guys testing test almost every new mainstream detector that comes out. Remote detectors are sometimes the exception. They've found and made us aware of the good and the bad of the detectors. It helps us know what to expect and let's the manufacturer know how it acts in the real world. Most companies appreciate that.

It not just a thought - its either a troll response, a major fanboy who for some reason feels hurt about the feedback or someone who has no idea what they are talking about because they have not "experienced" it.

You were earlier asked to expound on the statements about Radenso's so-called agenda. Still waiting on a response (and I don't even own a Radenso any longer). If you had a good response, I would think you would have posted it by now. If Jon's video is bad, well so are mine since its showing the same things- but his is in a controlled environment. Its just another form of validation.

You clearly know that a lot of us responding have the R360s and have experienced the same problems and have even posted our own videos.

If it were only a few people, they why don't a whole bunch of other members come in and say they are not experienced the same thing. Why is it when you call Escort customer support they tell you they are receiving a high number of complaints and returns for exactly the same issue. If you look on the Escort forums, you can see one of the long time users there that had the same issues?

Have you experienced the detector working perfectly? If not, then by your logic maybe you should not be commenting.

You are right about the new car lemon - but let me flip that back on you - just because your car is working, does not mean mine is not a lemon. (it would make more sense if you actually had the detector and showed us how awesome it is to make that argument)

So you state they are 5-10 "lemons" amongst the group - how do you know this? Most people don't post here and the returns are many more than 5-10.

So where are all the good ones going? Its also not like cars where thousands are generally sold. We may only have 600 units on the street, if that. So 5-10 posts of it being not so good compared to few, if any positive reports would indicate there is a significant issue.

If there are no or very limited issues, then why is Escort Promising a firmware update to help these complaints, rather then saying its broken send it in (they told me that my replacement would probably do the same thing until the firmware was updated)

If anyone here got one and posted about how awesome it was working, please point that out - If you were correct in saying that the problem is limited - then where are all the posting about getting a good unit from people who have some experience with these things.

Its nice to have brand loyalty, but don't let it cloud your vision, especially when the company admitted to working on problems that these 5-10 lemons have. Why sped resources if there is no problem.

I have yet to identify anyone that has this device that does not have the multitude of issues that I experienced. When somebody like Vortex observes and documents the issues then I know it is not just me doing something wrong or expecting something unreasonable.

These are luxury/optional devices that we can live without, so when we drop coin to buy them, it is not unreasonable to expect them to work right.

You realize that the videos are unlisted and that nobody on YouTube could find the videos, UNLESS linked from here. I think you are offended over something that is not an actual issue. Are you familiar with how videos are published to YouTube and the difference between unlisted, private, and public?

Guys, cmon, let's not assume @Vortex is an Escort PR rep... I get that a lot of us feel burned by Escort but we aren't being the better people by immediately jumping to a conspiracy theory every time something happens. Cool heads ought to be the ones that prevail....
my question is why do people still buy from them... they complain on here 24/7 about Escort and rightfully so... but don't buy their products anymore... Escort isn't forcing anyone to buy their products!?

Yes I do know that - I am sensing you are angry about something, but for the life of me I cannot figure out why. You put Disabled in Caps, like that was something special. What was the purpose of that, what are you implying? There are lots of videos where commenting is disabled, including all of my companies videos. There is nothing inherently wrong or nefarious with disabling comments.

Do you think the video was faked, or Jon is hiding something that would be ferreted out if comments were enabled? Since I can actually experience it with my Bushnell I don't see how its fake. Maybe he got a lemon too like the other 9 people.

If it makes you feel better I can talk Jon and see if he will be so nice as to enable comments - but why do we care? If there was something wrong I am sure plenty of people would love to show Jon his mistake, members are really good about pointing out mistakes here.

Its the same way with my video. Its quite true that not all people visit this website, but only people with Links can view his videos. So what good are comments when only the people here can view them? Don't we have a better discussion here anyway? Its also hard to view the comments and respond there and here - much easier to come to one place, that is created for this types of discussions.

I post my videos there since they are not hosted here (or at least I cannot figure out how to here) If it were up to me then I would not even go to that site and would prefer they are hosted and managed here, but that is not a problem.

Please tell us what you would have commented on, if there is something nefarious going on I am sure we would like to know, and hearing from different points of view, even if we don't agree is important. None of us know everything and we have better knowledge together.

I am at a complete loss to understand what your point is about commenting, and only you can explain what you are thinking.

Your comments are welcome for us to hear, so please let us know what comments you would like to add there if you could.

Because Escort has made decent products in the past. It's not like this is a RMR detector, which has historically always been garbage and gives nobody a reason to believe they'd put out a good product. The vitriol here recently is from misleading marketing, slow response time for issuing fixes, and piss-poor community interaction on this forum.
We're enthusiasts and are always excited to test the latest and greatest. Some of us have more disposable income than others. If you don't have the money to test out the newest detector, be thankful to those who do and leave seriously valuable feedback for the rest of us.

I'm struggling why you're being so negative toward members here. Are you saying you don't believe the members who've all experienced the same issues? Are they all lying to get under your skin? What will it take for you to believe them?

Probably because the people on RDF tend to be more interested than people not on RDF about the technical analysis of different radar equipment.

Also people off of the forum know him as a manufacturer; as radenso. This opens him up to getting berated for "talking about about X fan's detector."
On RDF, he's known as an enthusiast before a manufacturer and knows that people on here genuinely care to see yet another set of test results, done much differently than the average person could perform due to expertise and available equipment.

No - Please tell us. You keep inferring there is an issue, but so far the only issue is you dancing around whatever point you are trying to make.

Have you ever wondered why the Escort CS rep does not come in here to respond to our questions or concerns - just to browse threads? Some of them did view Jons video, but did not post anything. If It were me and the video was wrong, I would be posting and having Jon take it down - or at least sticking to the script of

There must be something funny going on if they don't do that. Right ;) ? Just like there must be something funny going on with a person who answers questions with questions and never articulates a valid point.

I guess if you had a good point to make you would have made it already, instead you can keep trolling this thread and others.
